Putting marijuana and other drug legalization on the ballot is a Democrat tactic to get out the young vote for Biden. Young potheads who wouldn’t vote otherwise will turn out for this.
To: Bernard Marx
The people who put the legalize pot law on the ballot in AZ are the same big companies that sell medicinal marijuana. They will have a near monopoly on pot sales here.

Except Biden has a former prosecutor as his running mate who put lots of people in prison for minor offenses.

Attention republican states....if pot is on the ballot, the burnouts turn out en masse and elect libs. Best them to the punch and decriminalize it... The potheads will stay home

Pedro will sell it much cheaper and you save a lot of tax.

Is this a blunt assessment?

Being the first legalizing state made them a pothead magnet ... no other state will be first.

I’m in WA.
OR is the same.
Potency of 80% THC is the issue, not location or order of legalization.

That was then. This is now. Socialism by any means necessary...
To: Uncle Miltie
WA and OR were also early legalizers.
Not that I’m opposed to state limits on THC concentration ...

Seems like the AZ initiative would basically decriminalize for adults, at least as reported in this story. Doesn’t mention taxation or setting up retail outlets. Once the state starts taxing something, then there will always be a black market.
