My wife worked with the lead political reporter for one of the top 4 networks. The reporter is no longer there. She was his first supervisor. In his first broadcasting job.
He was a recovering heroin asshole, who after getting his national gig, left his wife and two kids living on a child support agreement signed when he was making $35k a year.
I used to come on FR and hear about what a good guy and strong moral character he was.
The point is that these people are entertainers. Their job is to make you believe them. Their personas are not “them”
I know many of them are nice. Not so much at the top. Unless they are drinking a beer in your living room...you probably don’t know them.
