Pearl Harbor
I thought it was well done and fascinating.
Very. Got 2 more to go. T.
I give Roosevelt some benefit of the doubt. As a former Sec.Nav. he knew that the carriers wouldn’t survive the attack, but probably thought that the heavily armored battleships would receive survivable damage. Loss of a cruiser or two would be acceptable, and he could drag the US into World War II as a united country - provoking the Nazis in the Atlantic had obviously proved unsuccessful.
BIL who passed at 91, went out on the 2nd ‘Lady” USS Lexington, my Bio Dad, was last of Horse Calvary, lived to 97.
Reminds me of the story of the 5 Sullivan brothers. https://www.history.navy.mil/browse-by-topic/disasters-and-phenomena/the-sullivan-brothers-and-the-assignment-of-family-members0.html
T A I do recall the Sullivan Bros story.
