I’m an amateur WWII historian. Have visited Normandy four times, Oradour-sur-Glane (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oradour-sur-Glane_massacre), Bastogne, Dachau, Hitler’s Eagles Next, and other ETO battle sites.

I have a passion for the support of the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford, VA (http://www.dday.org), and encourage everyone I know to visit this moving memorial, as well as the Town of Bedford. Bedford, VA has great historical significance in relation to WWII. Read "The Bedford Boys" by Alex Kershaw. In fact, read anything by Alex Kershaw.

I’ve been a Freeper since sometime in 1996. I guess that makes me an old-timer around here.
