Bill Barr started his term as President Trump’s second attorney general maligned by the left and is ending it under attack from both sides. But the man is a class act who has consistently done the nation great service.
Barr announced his resignation, with a departure date of Dec. 23, in a classy letter to the president.
Barr has done all he can to ensure those who abused their power to harm first candidate and then President Trump will be held accountable. In October, he made John Durham, the former US attorney he’d tasked with investigating the origins of the FBI “Russiagate” probe, a special counsel.
And it turns out he took great pains to avoid any potential Justice Department interference in the 2020 race. The Wall Street Journal reports, “Barr took more steps than previously reported” to “prevent word of investigations into Hunter Biden from becoming public.” Trump is angry that Barr kept the probe into Hunter’s shady overseas dealings quiet.
Trump also resents Barr’s refusal to support claims of major abuses that supposedly stole the election. FBI agents and US attorneys looked at many complaints, Barr said, but: “To date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have affected a different outcome in the election.” So much for the left’s insistence that the AG is a Trump toady.
Barr, 70, served as AG under President George H.W. Bush but answered the second call to service when it came.
Thank you for your service, sir.

Stupid article. Without Barr,Stop and Steal would not succeed. A real AG would be fighting like Hell to save the Republic from this treason and fraud.
Bill Barr is like the coach who has his son on the team. In order to not show favoritism, he rides his son harder than his team mates and where others might get by with something, son does not. In supposedly trying to go the extra length to ensure the DOJ was not acting for Trump, Barr did in fact not pursue things he should have and thereby did not do justice while the AG. And, that is the good version.
So was Benedict Arnold.
Barr has done all he can to ensure those who abused their power to harm first candidate and then President Trump will be held accountable.

Bottom-of-the-class act...
Yup, Barr's "classiness" was all an act.
What honor is there in a man for whom the best that can be said is that when his country needed him he looked the other way?
And its only taken him 32 years to start bringing the Lockerbie bomber to justice. What a resume'!
Fool me once, fool me twice. This one is on Trump.
So:
If you Steal, Bribe, take bribes, graft, child porn, drug use, use your power to cover such crimes, etc. AND you can argue that prosecuting you for any of the above would unduly influence an election, THEN you are immune.
It’s honorable not to prosecute you.
It’s honorable and decent not to prosecute you.
You are a class act.
That is, unless you are on the other side of the political aisle. In which case you are derelict in your duties. The glove doesn’t fit?!? Acquit?!?! Hell no, you make it fit. Jam it on their like Russia on collusion and that is your conclusion.
Justice for thee.
Acquittal for me.
I could not care less about appearing as a “class act.”
The death of the remnants of our constitutional republic, however, is enraging.
Just saw a ticker tape on the Steve bannons war room, Barr sez no special council on election fraud and the biden crime family.
IF YOU ARE NOT WITH US YOUR DIRTY, END OF STORY! You chose your side
No he’s not. He’s a deep state stooge.
Maybe Trump will replace Barr with Sydney Powell.. That would be awsome
He did what the Bush dynasty demanded him to do. Eliminate any outsiders and cover up the traces. Well done Barr. Well done.
