Democrat Raphael Warnock edged ahead of incumbent Sen. Kelly Loeffler in one of Georgia’s two Senate runoffs on Tuesday, lifting the party’s hopes for retaking the chamber from the GOP.
Late Tuesday night, Newsmax and partner Decision HQ made the call for Warnock.
Jon Ossoff, the Democrat seeking to unseat Sen. David Perdue, picked up more than 112,000 votes from DeKalb County outside Atlanta, narrowing the incumbent’s lead to about 3,000 votes. About 95% of the vote had been counted.
The two Georgia runoff races will determine control of the U.S. Senate and the fate of President-elect Joe Biden’s agenda and inspired record-breaking turnout and intense national interest under the specter of President Donald Trump’s push to overturn his Nov. 3 loss.

Two months ago we had these races in the bag and then Republicans accomplished the impossible and screwed things up so soundly. McConnell and Trump both did this. I hope Chuck Schumer sends a fruit basket to Lin Wood and Sydney Powell.
Exactly. Anyone who’s shocked by this is living in freakin’ fairyland. It should have been obvious to everyone that the methods that the Dems used to successfully steal GA from Trump in November would be redeployed in these races. Why wouldn’t they? Worked once. How stupid and naive do you have to be to be surprised that they would engage in the same phony, fraudulent tactics that were so successful for them just a few weeks ago?

Perdue will have lost by this time tomorrow. The math isn’t there. He has an 1100 point lead and it’s slipping. Only blue votes left to count.

Yep, I woke up around 10:30pm even though I got to be at work at 4am just to see this, and I can’t believe it, they did it AGAIN!
That’s it, this country is finished unless there is a war and we win it. Nobody did anything to stop this so now we live under a tyranny. Why? Because we no longer have the right to elect our reps. They are chosen for us and once that happens they can do anything to us, absolutely anything. Take away everything we own and even take our lives. All they have to do is install certain people into certain positions and they get what they want. Thank you Rat/RINO uniparty of treason.

This is, in my opinion, the weakest part of Free Republic. Instead of offering reasonable counter-arguments, too many folks here just go the insult route.

If I appear harsh here, Americannae1362, please forgive me. These are incredibly stressful times. So yes, it’s sometimes tough to maintain one’s composure. I’m a bit on edge these days myself.
In doing so he painted a picture of a system so broken and corrupt (and at the hands of Republican state officials who he had previously supported) why even bother voting? So many Trump voters stayed home. His words depressed the turnout.
What did Trump do? Explain please?
