Ma'Khia Bryant and two other young women argued over a messy house and unmade bed before a fight that ended with the fatal police shooting shooting of the Black teenager, the woman who cared for Ma'Khia in foster care said Thursday.
Angela Moore said two of her former foster children had come to her Columbus, Ohio, home Tuesday to celebrate her birthday when the young women and Ma'Khia bickered over housekeeping.
"It was over keeping the house clean," Moore said. "The older one told them to clean up the house because 'Mom doesn't like the house dirty,'" Moore recalled being told after she arrived home from work. "So that's how it all started."
Officials in Columbus have released body camera video of Tuesday's shooting -- during which Ma'Khia lunges at another young woman with a knife outside the house -- and urged residents to await the facts in the investigation.
Police did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Moore relayed for CNN the story she said she was told by one of the girls in the house at the time.
"You're not the guardian of me," Bryant replied, according to the story Moore said she was told.
"They argue all the time," Moore recalled, "but I never thought it would escalate like that."
Moore said she received a frantic call from one of the former foster children, who is seen in police body camera footage wearing pink and recoiling as Ma'Khia lunges at her with a shimmering knife.
"Mom, get home. Where are you? They're going crazy," Moore said the young woman told her. "She said they shot Ma'Kiah and I said, 'Huh?' It was just crazy."

And BLM and ANTIFA will get help from one of the ten largest university campuses in the nation:

So, i am confused. Who didn’t want to clean house and make up the bed?
And that’s why honor roll students pull out knives?
Blacks attack other blacks
when a cop saves one from murder from the other black
blacks use the opportunity to racebait, yet again
That’s it, exactly.
Amendment XIV
“No state shall...deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the law.”
The police officer under state law had a duty to protect the black female wearing pink.
If you can not control yourself, do not carry a knife or other weapon.
I had considered doing foster care work some years ago, if I was ever in the right circumstance. Some young people only need friendship, support and a little guidance. Some other young people also need guidance, but more than that, they need a good psychiatrist or therapist they can open up to.
Some are emotionally scarred for life before they’re even seven years old.
Moneywise, I was never in the right circumstance to provide foster care. Maybe it’s for the best. I have worked with troubled youth in other living situations.
Every time my mama made me make the bed, I'd chase her around the house with a knife!
No wonder she chose to bleed on the sidewalk!
Next the media will tell us she was also upset she had to bake an apple pie for the church picnic, and the pressure just became too much.
It is my understanding that Doing your job (or chores), working hard, and taking responsibility are considered systemic racism because they are determined by whites.
The two prior foster children were grateful for the foster mother. The current one wasn’t. Evidently she was pleasant and happy if she didn’t have to do anything but that isn’t systemic racism, that is life.
I'd bet a cup of coffee it was the one with the knife. Some people don't like chores.
That is a surprise, I expected it to be over a man.
yeah i saw that
well, if true i’m sure that is a very low bar...
I think PinkGirl used to be a foster child and used to live in the house and was visiting the foster mother and wanted KnifeGirl to clean up a bit.
PinkGirl had a good longterm relationship with the foster mom and KnifeGirl had just started living there and thought no one, let alone an older black girl, should make suggestions about how she should run her life.
So I guess now BLM will just have to dis PinkGirl for daring to dis KnifeGirl and also dis the foster mom for being a neat freak and giving PinkGirl a reason to be concerned about the state of the house.
It’s the fault of PinkGirl and foster mom for being neat freaks / acting white, you know.
Although in my experience, your average middle class black person is more of a neat freak than your average middle class white person.
“Every time my mama made me make the bed, I’d chase her around the house with a knife!”
“Every time”? You’d think she’d learn after the first couple.
j/k :)
So I’m guessing that the story that the Amish youth that was shot was the one who called police was a lie
What is WRONG with a deranged culture that an argument over housekeeping culminates in a knife fight to the death?
