It’s an uneasy alliance. Leftists want absolute power. They believe they are the only ones suited for complete control, and will do anything and I mean anything to maintain power. The leftist politicians see the power of big tech, and it makes them nervous. Big tech could eclipse them, and become the ultimate authority. The Stalinist approach is to neuter big tech now, while they still can.
