My theory is that the U.S. is following the Canadian model of fabricating national holidays out of thin air just to ensure that there’s one in every month.

Maybe we can celebrate the day MLK got his driver’s license or Malcolm X got his first haircut … but only if those things happened in March, April or August!

That’s pretty funny. Ever read his autobiography? His description of the excruciating pain he endured to straighten his hair is hilarious.
