WASHINGTON (AP) — Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell implored unvaccinated Americans Tuesday to take the COVID-19 shot, issuing a stark and grave warning of a repeat of last year’s shutdowns if people refuse to protect themselves from the coronavirus.
McConnell urged Americans to ignore the “demonstrably bad advice” coming from pundits and others against the vaccines. As caseloads skyrocket, he noted that nearly all the new virus hospitalizations in the U.S. are among people who have not been vaccinated.
“If there is anybody out there willing to listen: Get vaccinated,” McConnell, R-Ky., said at his weekly press conference at the Capitol.
“These shots need to get in everybody’s arms as rapidly as possible or we’re going to be back in a situation in the fall that we don’t yearn for — that we went through last year,” he said. “This is not complicated.”
McConnell has been one of the most outspoken members of his party in urging vaccinations to stop the virus spread, speaking often in his home state of Kentucky of the need for people to get the shot.

Neither Mitch nor anyone else in the federal government has issued any edicts.
If people don't want the shot that's their business, but it doesn't change the fact that the vaccines are effective and save lives.
It's as if people who don't want the jab feel they need to justify their choice by running down the vaccine.

Something tells me a robust resistance is exactly what the DS wants. The “insurrection” narrative is falling apart and the DS needs another enemy. They will drag any resistance out to censor political viewpoints, support a lockdown and continued mail-in interminable voting, possibly even postpone the midterm election. Seeing the tea leaves, mainstream politicians, pundits and celebrities are rushing to distance themselves from the vile unvaxxed.
For the life of me I can’t find data on yesterday’s deaths from Covid in Arizona. I believe there were none. The general data supplied is that 909,000 AZ were tested positive for Corona, and 18,117 deaths occurred. That is about equal to a bad flu season and really not worth shutting down the state.
Their only value is as Assistant Democrats.
They effectively block the citizens from stopping the march to the New World Order.
That is correct-it is an individual choice-private and no one’s business-so Mitch and the other political types need to STFU and get out of our personal lives, our legal businesses, and the choices of any individual state-and take the masks and shut downs with them...
I don’t give a damn who does/does not get the vaccine-it is their choice-I only know what works and is safest for me, given experience and research-but the vaccine has been sold too hard by the CDC and politicians-even the most neutral evidence so far is showing it not nearly as safe and effective as promised-and the rosiest predictions about immunity look like an outright lie-no one who is even informed and aware is likely to listen to and believe the hype and fear mongering any more...
The data on side effects is just too compelling to get jabbed, I have no contra-indicators and the availability of pharmaceuticals if needed. I’ll sit back free from any genetically altered bits of mRNA floating around inside my body and see how all of this plays out.
