Last time I was at Colonial Williamsburg, 2017, you could still buy it in the shops.

I’ve seen iit. I’m worried Williamsburg is going woke. Glad I took all my kids there already prior to covid and wokeness. They used to offer a really fun scavenger hunt spy game there—and re-enactments that were terrific.

I’m pretty sure I remember seeing this as a kid when my folks took us there for the bicentennial in 1976.

I’m worried Williamsburg is going woke.

They began going woke years ago. In 1979, I visited Jamestown., and there was a ceremony that featured all the flags that flew over Jamestown beginning with the English flag. But they left out the Confederate flag.

Hate to point this out, but is this still valid?

The article dates from December.

The comment section of the YouTube video seems to suggest the video has not and probably will not return. The slaves in the video are well dressed and portray a happy attitude

Well I guess that beats The Rocky Horror Picture Show. It’s been showing in most big cities, sort of continuously, for the last 46 years.

We watched it the summer before the pandemic. Prior to that, I saw the film on a 4th grade class trip to Colonial Williamsburg in 1962. Very memorable experience at the time, probably banned now as a threat to the group think.

Funny because basically house slaves would be well dressed.

Oh excuse us….”enslaved laborers”.
