Here’s an idea. Voters should have the option to ‘recall’ Senators 4 years into their terms.
Kinda like the NFL cutting a player after the bonus money runs out and he quits trying. The public wins by saving bad policy. The state GOP’s select those that finish out the term.

The option would be yes/no. The(possible) successor can be announced after November election date. No fringe people running just the state GOP/RATS picking.

I’ll bring this up on the weekend. It would take an amendment. 6 years is too long for a bad legislator/game player.

Here’s an idea. Voters should have the option to ‘recall’ Senators 4 years into their terms.

If you somehow get a repeal of the 17th amendment, state legislatures or Governors could be free to recall a senator from Congress in the same way an ambassador can be recalled from a foreign country.

This was the idea at the beginning of the nation, House of Representatives was for the people's input, the Senate was for the States' input. The way that things are currently arranged, there's no material difference between the House and Senate except for the total number and length of term.

The bill is now heading to the House, where it faces an uncertain future and skepticism from progressives. Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has vowed she won’t take it up until the Senate passes the second part of its infrastructure two step, a sweeping $3.5 trillion spending package that includes Democrats’ top priorities.

Since they won't pass the bad 'infrastructure' bill ..,,. you know, the one with the Democrats-Forever voting package and the Ban-All-Guns packages.... this thing is DOA forever.

Unless insane Nancy gives in.
