Several families in China’s southwest Chongqing city are being silenced by local authorities after speaking out about the recent deaths of their loved ones, which they claim were linked to adverse reactions caused by homegrown COVID-19 vaccines, sources told The Epoch Times.
The data on the efficacy and safety of Chinese-made vaccines are heavily censored by the Chinese regime, while its propaganda apparatus praises them. State-run media Global Times reported on May 28 that “China’s first published report on COVID-19 vaccines shows ‘extremely rare’ adverse reactions; experts hail ‘remarkable’ safety.”
However, The Epoch Times had previously obtained local government documents that revealed the harmful effects of Chinese-made vaccines.
Surveillance by the Police
Cai Hua, a 65-year-old woman, was left unconscious 10 minutes after being vaccinated on July 13. She died on Aug. 6 after being treated at the hospital for three weeks. She was a resident of Shapingba district in Chongqing.
Her sister, Cai Bangying, went on a mission to find the cause of her sister’s death. She shared her story with the Chinese language edition of The Epoch Times on Sept. 2.
At first, she explained the incident to the municipal health commission on the morning of Aug. 12, and called the mayor’s office in the afternoon.
Later that day, Bangying went to the local police station to check the footage from the surveillance video at the community health service center where her sister got vaccinated.
Bangying said that the video showed Hua waiting in line on July 13 and went in at 7:01 p.m. She was vaccinated at 7:06 p.m. and sat in the designated area for observation. At 7:15 p.m., Hua suddenly fell from her seat when she was about to leave and many people around her, including the medical staff, saw the incident.
