President Biden and House Democrats celebrated overnight after the passage of the bipartisan $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill, which ended weeks of deadlock amid infighting between the party's moderates and progressives. "Tonight, we took a monumental step forward as a nation," Biden said in a statement issued by the White House early Saturday.

Another “shovel ready jobs” bill that wont be so shovel ready.

Less than 10% is for actual infrastructure. The rest is for special interests like Comcast, Elon Musk, etc.

Gold jumped $26.20 and Silver jumped $.38 overnight. The markets saw this coming. I saw it coming. We all saw it coming.

If I remember right; the penalty for treason is a little stiffer.

I believe the Senate passed it with a lopsided vote of 69 or 70 votes so there were lots of Republicans senators who voted for it. I admit I am very unclear which of the two bills—BIF and BBB—contain which “infrastructure” provisions everyone is talking about.

Why? Why would they vote for this? Grift? Spite? Death threats?

Six dems voted no so had all R’s voted no the bill would have passed anyway since the Dems have 221 seats vs 213 for Rep with one seat vacant.

Not excusing the rino’s but just saying it may have happened because the R’s are in competitive districts.

I can see math is not your thing. By your numbers if all but 6 dems voted for, and all repubs voted no, it would have been voted down 215 to 219. I know, math is hard.

IF the Senate passed a different version—— doesn’t this bill have to go back to the Senate???

How can a bill in 2 different versions be signed into law by Biden Corruption, INC.

"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship." ~ Alexander Tyler (1747-1843)

We're closer than we've ever been. Plan accordingly.

Looks like 13 RINOs voted for the bill, so we can again blame the GOPe for yet another betrayal of the American public.

This is unfair and unwarranted. The overwhelming number of Republicans voted against this bill. There are 213 Republicans in the House. Only 13 (6.5%) voted for the bill. I realize several Republicans in the Senate also voted for it, but again, it was a minority of the Republicans. Instead of blaming the entire Republican Party, we need to concentrate on primarying those 13 plus the Senate RINOs like Romney, Graham, etc.

Fixing Washington D.C. requires a one megaton blast at about 500 feet. While they are all in town.

Nothing less will do..

LOL, OMG you are of course right. I don’t know what the hell I was thinking. I deducted the 6 votes from the D majority but forgot to add them to the R minority vote.

This is embarrassing to me because in HS I was taking the math courses for gifted (in math) students. I will dig out my achievement certificate and tear it up.
