You should run the 23andme dna test. Get your raw data..and see if you have a bunch of thrombosis mutations..etc.
Perhaps he had the mthfr mutations combined with thrombosis that created the perfext storm
You can upload the data to promtheaus and for 12 bucks you get an illuminating detail
Might not all be right due to the way 23 does the genetics test but its a start
