Hannity, Ingraham slam Cheney for releasing Jan. 6 messages to Meadows

​Fox News hosts Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham blasted Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) Tuesday night for publicizing texts the two sent to then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows as the Jan. 6 Capitol riot was unfolding, calling it both a smear attempt and a breach of their privacy.

Cheney, the vice chair of the Jan. 6 select committee investigating the riot, read out the messages from Hannity and Ingraham on Monday night, shortly before the panel voted unanimously to recommend that Meadows be held in contempt of Congress.

“Mark, the president needs to tell people in the Capitol to go home,” Ingraham texted Meadows that day, according to Cheney. “This is hurting all of us. He is destroying his legacy.”

”Can he make a statement?” Cheney quoted Hannity as asking Meadows. “Ask people to leave the Capitol.”

I don’t even watch Tucker regularly, anymore. Quit watching the rest at all. Hannity talks like he’s reciting a creed, always the “cognitively challenged Joe Biden.” I’m tired of hearing Hannity’s droning, and tired of Ingraham relating bad news with a smile and a twinkle in her eye. Nothing they say will change a thing, and things need to change.

Whether anyone is sick of him or not, the idea that some political hacks on Capitol Hill can get access to the private text messages of citizens and read them out loud for the world to hear should chill the blood of any American.

Nope, source was Meadows. From the linked article:

"The messages were part of a trove of documents, including texts and emails, that Meadows handed over to the committee before announcing that he would no longer work with the panel while Trump’s claims of executive privilege are adjudicated."

Meadows's change of heart seems to have gotten him the worst of both worlds. While he was cooperating he turned over important information. Then he stopped cooperating and will now probably be indicted. He had two choices (cooperate or resist) and he picked the third best!
