The venerable South China Morning Post explained Monday that “so far China has reported nine Covid-19 cases caused by the omicron variant, including two who were infected by a man returning from Canada.”
The United States is averaging about 235,000 cases per day, and in the most recent CDC analysis, almost 60% of new cases are from omicron. Assuming the accuracy of those numbers, the U.S. is currently averaging roughly 140,000 Omicron cases per day, while China, with five times the population, is averaging one omicron case per day. Yes, one.
While the numbers in America aren’t totally accurate — folks with positive at-home tests don’t always notify health authorities, and many asymptomatic people are unaware they have the virus — official Chinese statistics are preposterous.
Yes, the ChiComs initiated city-wide lockdowns and welded people’s home doors shut, but it’s implausible that a massively contagious virus in every other country suddenly became mostly innocuous upon entering China.

The Economist recently efforted to ascertain the pandemic’s true death toll.
They estimated that China has experienced close to 2 million excess deaths compared to the “normal” trend. This figure is 17,000% more than the official Chinese death figure of about 4,600.
I believe the China death count. It is the western worlds death counts that are lies.
Money. The Chinese have it, the world wants in on it. Those in power will do nearly anything to get some of that Chinese money.

Let me remind everyone, China does not need to lie about Covid death counts to gain power over its population. They already have that control.

I agree. China isn’t lying due to anything regarding its population, but it is lying.
Surely, no one believes the Chinese propaganda. Just as surely, craven media are afraid to say so publicly.

Perhaps the commies developed a DNA specific vaccine while they were performing gain of function research that would protect only Asian people or Chicoms? I dunno, I’ve read/seen pretty damn strange stuff over the last 2 years.
Did the CCP make law to send COVID positive patients into nursing homes and long term care facilities like the USA did?
Did the CCP deny early treatment to their citizens, sending them home with no care until the disease progressed enough to be admitted to hospitals where they were administered organ damaging Remdisivir and denied nutrition, visitors and attorneys and eventually drowned on ventilators all alone?
Did they encourage euthanasia of the elderly and sickly rather than effective treatments?
Did the CCP attribute any death of someone with Covid, regardless of whether Covid was the cause, to be a Covid death like we do in the USA?
If they did and do those things, then I don’t believe their numbers either.
Maybe the Chinese are only counting members of the CCP who died of COVID.
I don't think china is paying hospitals $13,000 a pop to report covid, and a whopping $39,000 bonus if the docs can exterminate them with a ventilator/death machine. It's almost as if there's a monetary incentive to inflate "cases" and then attribute anybody who dies as having died "from" it.

It’s our gross overcount that’s causing us problems, not their undercount.
The US and China are at polar opposites on covid....we’re overstating our results due to payments to hospitals and China is understating theirs as it started there.
The real question is why aren’t US Senators and Congressmen and world leaders demanding reparation’s from China. What China did is worthy of war.

Maybe they have more people with immunity because of SARS-CoV-1.
It would have been nearly impossible for the Chinese to hide widespread outbreaks of the type that happened around the world. It lays credence to the theory that the Chinese have been exposed to numerous coronavirus variants and have developed coronavirus immunity. Their scientists probably determined that their population would likely be resistant or immune to an engineered variant that could be used as a biological weapon on their adversaries.
