Mayor Eric Adams said early Thursday that he will be asking President Biden for enough money to bring a “9/11 response” to the “pandemic” of gun crime on city streets.
In a series of TV and radio appearances, Adams previewed what he hopes to address during his scheduled meeting with the commander-in-chief later Thursday, as the the White House also unveiled new plans to crack down on “ghost guns.”

“Gun violence” is the new poll-tested phrase of the Marxist parasites. Don’t let them control the language. It’s gang and criminal violence.
There is no epidemic of gun violence.
There is an endemic population of violent people.
Just as in 9/11. Violent people killed innocents.
Start by keeping violent criminals locked up.
This might not fly with “groups of organized individuals”. I’d love to (not literally) see this blow up in their collective faces when a gang war against police and thugs happens. How would they spin *that*?
“Defund police! Racial Just-us!”
Crime goes up.
“Bring me money to go after guns!”
These people are so predictable. This only gets worse from here, or so history shows us.
.....indeed....!! something just MUST be done about those violent guns....!!! never mind the gangs, out-on-the-street career criminals, and other scumbags that use them in armed robberies, murders, all kinds of other mayhem....let’s work together and get them violent guns off our streets...!!!
(BTW, “gun control” is another way of saying “gun confiscation”.....)

Politicians see a problem like gun violence and pass laws to stop the problem.
Then they do not enforce those laws.
then they act like the laws aren’t working so they pass stronger laws.

The objective isn’t to stop gun violence.
The objective is to confiscate all guns!

The reason we had a “war” on drugs and a “war” on poverty is having a war allows you to do things you could not do in other circumstances. A power grab, in other words. For example, in the Civil War Lincoln had people arrested and held without charge. He had a senator who disagreed with him extradited. Wilson had newspaper editors beaten up. I think the Left would like to do the same with gun owners. Hence, declare war.

Yep. Sounds like (at least) he and Lori Lightfoot are now teamed up to promote federalizing the local police force. Which is part of the master plan, IIRC.
As many of FR members wisely realized, “Mandate” on Gun Control was the next step.
Fortunately, America began to wake up from its slumber and its unlikely to go anywhere.
The powers that in charge want violence on the street so they will never call it what it actually is.

Hey it’s only been a little over a month since he was seated. There’s still time for him to prove he’s worse than DUH blahzero. Which is indeed a very high bar. But democommies have a way of overachieving when it come to dragging cities deeper into the cesspools.

Ghost Guns have been associated with very very few crimes. Banning them to make the streets safe seems idiotic.
Most of all gun crimes are related to drug and drug distribution. Compared to overdose deaths, gun crime is still small. Yet, the first thing the Biden administration did was stop building the wall and stopped interfering in illegal drug distribution in the US.
My point is, guns are always the target, but it’s clearly not the root cause of the problems. That means that ‘they’ want a disarmed public for reasons that have nothing to do with what they claim. Anyone who claims that gun restrictions will protect anyone but the elite criminals in Washington, are liars.
If SCOTUS follows the Constitution in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. v. Bruen later this year, New York and the 7 other “yellow” states ( https://www.gun-nuttery.com/maps/2021.gif ) will likely become shall-issue states, and lib heads will (metaphorically) explode.

Notice whenever they talk about disarming Americans, they never mention disarming criminals with guns.
