A Russian military convoy that was outside of Ivankiv, Ukraine, on Sunday has since made it to the outskirts of Kyiv, satellite images show.

On Sunday, the convoy was roughly 40 miles northwest of the Ukrainian capital, according to images provided by Maxar Technologies.

Maxar said that roughly 17 miles of roadway is chocked full of the convoy, which consists of armored vehicles, tanks, towed artillery and other logistical vehicles.

The private US company said the convoy was located on the T-1011 highway at Antonov air base around 11:11 a.m local time.

LOL, what? Russia’s fertility rate is 1.5. I think it’s safe to say shortening gestation won’t affect that at all.

Shortening of gestation period is bad: Compared with children born at 39-40 weeks, those born at 37-38 weeks had an up to 30 percent higher risk of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and a 10-40 percent higher risk of cognitive problems.

https://www.safetyandquality.gov.au/newsroom/external-publications/push-babies-go-whole-nine-months-reduce-learning-and-developmental-risks

But if Putin is looking to feed the meat grinder...

The fertility rate in Russia is going down fast in 2022 it was 1.36 in the rural areas and 1.42 in the cities. See graph. https://www.statista.com/statistics/1005471/fertility-rate-russia-area/

It is most likely lower today.

Wow, these Russians have some crazy ideas about how the human body works. The craziest one is the idea of shortenening the gestation period to 8 months. Will this help provide a chimpanzee level of intelligence. Part of the longer gestation is the long time for the human brain to develop. My first son was born 3 weeks post mature at 9 lbs. My second son was born a month early at 7 lbs. All of my first sons developmental stages were MOrE than 2 months ahead of those of my p son. Things like first smile, reaching for objects—things requiring intelligence and eye/muscle coordination.

There are already ways to increase the rate of male fetal production. Not going to say what they are, but I have used them with success. God help the poor Russian women (or captive Ukrainian women) who will be used for some of this experimentation. Putin’s lacky Orthodox church leader might be agreeable, but what about the rest of their priesthood and old believers? Next they will be forcing sterilization on their non ethnic Russian populations.

It looks like Russia is again moving back to meat wave attachs—human losses again around the 1200 figure, and increased losses in field equipment.

Mothers in hospitals in temporarily occupied Luhansk region are facing threats of having their newborns taken away unless either parent has Russian citizenship. According to ISW, these actions violate Article II(d) of the Genocide Convention.

Right. I’m saying it wouldn’t do him any good. Who cares if the the average Russian woman could get pregnant again a month earlier if she’s only giving birth once or twice in her whole life as it is?

Russian Offensive Campaign Assessment, May 5, 2024

European intelligence agencies reportedly warned their governments that Russia is planning to conduct “violent acts of sabotage” across Europe as part of a “more aggressive and concerted effort” against the West. The Financial Times (FT) reported on May 5, citing unspecified European intelligence officials, that Russia has been actively preparing “covert bombings, arson attacks, and damage to infrastructure” in Europe using its own forces and proxies.[17] German Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV) Thomas Haldenwang stated that the BfV assesses that there is a “significantly increased” risk of Russian state-controlled acts of sabotage on European territory. An unspecified senior European government official stated that NATO-member security services’ information sharing indicated coordinated Russian sabotage efforts “at scale.” NATO recently reported that it is “deeply concerned” about intensifying Russian hybrid operations on NATO member territory and that these operations constitute a threat to the alliance's security.[18]

FT reported that German authorities recently arrested two individuals on charges of allegedly planning to attack German military and logistics sites for Russia and that the United Kingdom (UK) accused two individuals of working for Russia after they were charged with setting fire to a warehouse containing aid for Ukraine.[19] ISW also observed recent reports that the Kremlin is pursuing hybrid operations against NATO member states using GPS jamming and sabotage on military logistics.[20] Russian milbloggers have widely celebrated incidents of sabotage in Western countries, most recently celebrating the factory fire at German arms company Diehl in Berlin, Germany, even though German officials have not speculated on the causes of the fire.[21]

Russian blogger 22APR2024:

“Summer will be hot.” The Kremlin and the military have figured out how to respond to Macron's plans to send troops to Ukraine.

Emmanuel Macron “will be very upset” this summer. During the Olympics in Paris, the main world event will not be sports competitions, as the French president wants. “Macron proposed a truce during the Olympics. But for his impudence and plans for Ukraine he will receive something completely different. In the summer there will be serious actions within the framework of the Northern Military District, including offensive ones. There will be actions not only in Ukraine. You will see everything for yourself,” a Kremlin source told us.

An interlocutor at the Ministry of Defense refused to comment on these words, but confirmed that “the summer will be hot.” According to our information, the military and AP [= Presidential Administration] officials have conceived a plan for the summer that will seriously hit the Kyiv regime and its Western allies. This plan has actually already been approved by Vladimir Putin.

More about Magical thinking:

Shoigu’s associates, who prayed near Suvorov’s ashes, condemned the deputy for plans to evoke the spirit of Stalin.

In Barnaul, local deputy Sergei Matasov announced plans to evoke the spirit of Joseph Stalin. This idea was harshly condemned by military personnel close to Sergei Shoigu. They believe that such actions discredit the important idea of prayers and reflections near the ashes of commander Alexander Suvorov , which are carried out for individual officers of our army.

“After we began to carry the ashes of Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov along the front, many lovers of mysticism appeared, let's face it, idiots who want to repeat our actions. And in the end they organize a circus. They want to repeat after us. But nothing works out for them,” one of Sergei Kuzhugetovich's close associates is sure. It doesn't work out, in his opinion, because prayers and reflections near the remains of the great commander are a serious action that really helps our army fight.

“Alexander Vasilyevich helps our guys spiritually and sometimes even physically. Largely thanks to him, we broke through the front in Ocheretino. His ashes were on the planes from which we bombed the Ukrainian Nazis with FABs. He helped the helicopter pilots strike the enemy,” the military man explained. And the challenge to the spirit of Stalin, he believes, is “a circus and a stupid parody of serious, almost religious actions.”

“Why Stalin? Let Alexander Nevsky be called. Or Ivan the Terrible. Or Marshal Zhukov. Clowns,” another Shoigu ally was indignant. He expressed the hope that the “spiritualistic seance” with the summoning of the spirit of Stalin would be cancelled. Among the reasons for the military man's dissatisfaction is, in particular, that “you cannot mock outstanding people of our history, because for this you can end up under criminal charges.”

Same mentality that goes with getting paycheck 2 days earlier. May have an effect the first time, but after that it is(always was) about money management not the calendar

One of my fears of a russian victory is that the Russians will use Ukrainian women as forced baby makers.

If they will tax their own for not making babies, kidnap Ukrainian children and are obsessed with demographics, I don’t see this as a stretch for them to do.

Impregnated by Russian “pure” bloods and creating putin jugend.

As I have asked often of the usuals, what exactly does it mean to be a nazi in this day and age? What is more relevant is who acts as the nazis did. Invasion, genocide, secret police, war crimes, racial superiority. Putin doesn’t call himself a dictator and doesn’t call his regime nazis, but it is a distinction without a difference

Authorities are covering up the rape of Russell Bentley. Probably the wrong suspects were detained

The story of the murder of Russell Bentley (call sign “Texas”) in the DPR has finally gone public. It is worth thanking the general director of Russia Today, Dmitry Kiselev, for his position. We agree that the murder and rape of “Texas” must be investigated. As we reported, the American was suspected of espionage. He was detained in Donetsk, raped and killed. The wife received threats.

Federal media write that the investigation into the murder of “Texas” is being conducted by employees of the Main Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. Allegedly, the suspects have already been detained. However, according to our data, the real culprits of what happened have not yet returned from vacation. The authorities are trying to pin the murder on innocent people, and are carefully hiding information about the rape. This cannot be done if we want to live in a normal country. Justice and truth must prevail. Therefore, the Investigative Committee must understand this whole story and detain the real culprits in the death of Russell Bentley.

Russian Offensive Campaign Assessment, May 6, 2024

Russian ultranationalist milbloggers have seized on protests in Armenia to forward a longstanding information operation aimed at discrediting the current Armenian government, particularly Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, for pulling away from Russia. A prominent, Kremlin-awarded milblogger claimed that ongoing protests in Armenia will not result in any meaningful policy change because the protests are allegedly “unorganized,” lack leadership, and the majority of Armenians are ambivalent about the issue.[120] Other milbloggers responded to the first milblogger largely accusing Western countries of “corrupting” Armenian youth with democratic values so they do not feel “craving or nostalgia for the Soviet past” and similarly influencing youth in other countries, including those not previously part of the Soviet Union.[121] Russian-Armenian relations have been deteriorating since Russian peacekeepers failed to prevent the loss of Nagorno-Karabakh in September 2023, and the Kremlin recently explicitly threatened Armenia if Armenia does not resume active engagement in the Russian-led Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and resume its pro-Kremlin alignment.[122]

Russian blogger:

Putin was again offered to move the capital from Moscow to another city.

The reason, according to two of our sources in the Kremlin, is possible missile attacks from NATO countries. “If we strike at British (or some other Western) military targets, as promised , then a response is possible at about 50-60 targets on Russian territory. Moscow, of course, is among them,” said one of our interlocutors, citing the military.

Note that there was talk about a possible transfer of the capital from Moscow back in the fall of 2022 . Then a direct clash with NATO was avoided , and the need for a transfer was no longer necessary.

At the same time, there were three candidate cities for the status of temporary capital: Yekaterinburg, Kazan and Yaroslavl. There are now two candidate cities, but their sources refused to name them.

The interlocutors also noted that moving the capital is only a possible plan for now. Which is being discussed and proposed to the president “just in case, to avoid big problems if they arise.”
