Kamala Harris Says It's Time to Make a Transition to Green Energy as She Pushes Electric Cars and Clean Transit with Pete Buttigieg While Americans Face Record Gas Prices

Kamala Harris and Pete Buttigieg on Monday pushed a transition to green energy and electric cars as Americans face record high prices at the pump. As gas costs soar and more workers are returning to the office as covid numbers fall, President Biden's administration announced a $3.7B boost for public transportation, including an investment in new fleets of electric buses. 'We are all in the midst of a turning point. We have the technologies to transition to a zero emission fleet,' Harris said during the announcement. 'We can address the climate crisis and grow our economy at the same time. Transit gets riders where they need to be efficiently and affordably with far less pollution. It's even good for drivers of cars because it means less congestion and traffic on our roads. And transit is even better when it's clean transit with modern electric buses that don't pollute at all.'

Neither official mentioned gas prices: AAA reported Sunday that the national average for a gallon of gas hit $4.009 -- the highest since 2008. On Monday, the average price hit $4.10 a gallon, according to GasBuddy. Also a factor is cost. The average transaction price for an electric vehicle is $56K according to Kelley Blue Book, which is about $10K higher than the overall industry average for a new vehicle.

Republicans were quick to criticize with one lawmaker from the oil-rich state of Oklahoma calling Harris and Buttigieg tone deaf. 'Kamala Harris and DOT Secretary Pete Buttigieg spent the afternoon promoting electric vehicles and Green New Deal policies. Are you kidding me? The Biden Administration could not be more tone deaf,' said Rep. Markwayne Mullin.

Meanwhile, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said on Monday that President Biden is doing ‘everything he can to reduce the impact’ of gas prices on the American people. She blamed Russian President Vladimir Putin for the high numbers at the pump.

They are the reason we have high gas prices.

They really believe they can force the American people into loving the green new deal.

They are the true believers.

They believe that they alone know best.

The only question to my mind is whether or not Putin is a willing scapegoat for all our Deep States...

EVs vs. gas-powered cars: The true FACTS as Biden administration pushes Americans to buy cleaner vehicles

* The average price of an electric vehicle is $56K, $10K higher than the industry average of all cars, according to Kelly Blue Book.

* Based on the average lifespan of a car - 200K miles - the cost to maintain a gas-fueled car would be $94,540, while a EV would be $90,160, according to Car and Driver.

* Electric cars are ‘expected’ to last 300,000 miles while a standard car is 200,000.

* Level 2 chargers, which is what buyers usually start with, cost around $2,000 including installation. The federal government offers a tax credit of between $2,500 and $7,500 for new electric vehicles made after 2010. >> But none of these credits are available for Tesla and General motors.

* In 2020, a Consumer Reports study said electric vehicle owners spend 60% less on fuel than those who use a combustible engine. This is based on charging 11 times every 15K miles for a car with a range of 200 miles.

* The average monthly cost of charging is $25, and it can take 30 minutes to charge an EV, even with the higher-standard Level 3 chargers.

When Biden was ‘elected’ I bought some oil stocks. Why? Because the relative cost of ‘green energy’ would be impossible to justify due to the, at the time, low cost of oil - and their respective stocks were, therefore, very low.

I made a bundle on them.

Their top priority is the ‘green agenda’...and here you go. They have no intent on doing anything to lower oil prices.

They believe that they alone know best.

And unfortunately they are what smart sounds like to stupid people.

Let all face it! This regime is being run by someone other then Biden and are trying to change this country. They are going back to 2016 where they were pushing green energy which is one way to destroy this country along with inflation etc. Now the question since they are changing narratives will the dumb and dumber keep believing! My answer the core group will.

I think they could give a care less about Green Energy. It’s total control over people they want and driving us all to the point of poverty is a means to their end.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO INSTALL AN EV CHARGER?

Read it and weep.

This doesn't even address charging time issues, especially in terms of convenience and productivity.

It’s not about anything other than control. They can better control how and when u drive. They can shut off charging stations for any reason they can disable new cars remotely. Screw the Green thing

EVs are about saving the planet like CoupFlu policy is about public health.

What Deep States are doing, and it’s not just ours, are waging a war on freedom of movement, a war on the rural areas and suburbs, a war on voting with your feet and wheels.

And right now they’re winning.
