Former President Donald Trump enthusiastically endorsed former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin in her run to fill Rep. Don Young’s (R-AK) congressional seat.
Hailing the former Alaska governor as a “wonderful patriot,” Donald Trump praised Palin for her persistence in the face of the Democrats’ attacks on her.
“Wonderful patriot Sarah Palin of Alaska just announced that she is running for Congress, and that means there will be a true America First fighter on the ballot to replace the late and legendary Congressman Don Young,” said Trump.
Sarah Palin notably endorsed Trump very early in the 2016 primaries. “We are ready for a change. We are ready and our troops deserve the best, a new Commander-in-Chief whose track record of success has proven he is the master at ‘The Art of the Deal,'” she said.
In his endorsement, Trump recalled how Palin elevated the 2008 McCain campaign as the media and establishment Republicans sabotaged her.
“Sarah lifted the McCain presidential campaign out of the dumps despite the fact that she had to endure some very evil, stupid, and jealous people within the campaign itself,” he said. “They were out to destroy her, but she didn’t let that happen.”
“Sarah Palin is tough and smart and will never back down, and I am proud to give her my Complete and Total Endorsement and encourage all Republicans to unite behind this wonderful person and her campaign to put America First!” he concluded.

I suspect that Trump had planned on supporting a Palin run against Murky. However, Don Young’s death, and the chaos of Alaska’s Jungle Primary process, probably necessitated Palin jumping in to hold that seat. His endorsement will go a long way up there.
However, Palin will have to campaign like she did in 2006 for Governor if she wants to win. Alaskans will want to be asked for their votes.
I’ve never seen a bad picture of Sarah Palin.
The woman is beautiful.
I’m totally in favor of this run, and I look forward to seeing her in the house. By virtue of her star power, she’ll instantly become a de facto leader within the GOP (if elected). And let’s face it, the GOP needs to kick some butt when they take control of the House. I want Sarah Barracuda on that team.
I have to admit that a few years back I had a bit of Palin fatigue when some of her kids and husband couldn’t stay out of the tabloids. Hopefully, that drama is all behind her now.

Many on this board are not Palin fans, in part because she was not all that she could have been. But, she has MY personal, complete and total endorsement, too. One thing she has that I think is undervalued, is that she has a good instinct for what’s good or not. One instance is her immediate outspoken opposition to the Lefto-Marxist-Democrat creation of the so-called “Arab Spring.”
I wish she were running for nothing! We Alaskans know she is far from a conservative. Sorry…
