Russia has said its forces have destroyed two U.S.-made High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, also known as HIMARS, in Ukraine.
The number adds to the four HIMARS launchers that Russia claimed to have destroyed over a two-week period in July.
A "high-precision" strike in Kharkiv took out the systems and killed 53 people, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov, a spokesperson for the Russian defense ministry, said in an announcement on Monday, according to Russian state news agency TASS.
"As a result of a high-precision strike in the city of Kharkiv, on the territory of the Ukrainian Energy Machines plant, two American launchers of HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems were destroyed," Konashenkov said. "53 Ukrainian nationalists and foreign mercenaries were also destroyed."

On this “knock out blow” I have been hearing about this for months. Donbas should be all in Russia hands but it is not.
It’s not cause there is no rush on the Russians part. The mistake most pro-Ukrainian supporters and pundits make is thinking that Russia is in this for territory when its real goal is 1) ZelenskyyIdiot gov utterly removed and de-militarizing Ukraine (i.e: grinding up and destroying the Ukrainian military).

The long stated goals of the Russian SAP have long been made public. Of course, things may change once Ukraine is delivered the 300km HIMAR missiles in September. That said, the Russians have made clear that when such occurs, they will simply move and take more territory to compensate for that 300km. Again, all of that has long been made public and is easily found via a simple search.

Although it pains you, more that a few locals hate the Uke nazi formations and SBU. They see that HMARS rolling down the street, or hanging in those trees at the end of town. Word gets passed.
