Who continue to vote Rat!
It is a bit more complicated than that.
I do not have the breakdown of white voters in Queens but I would not be surprised if a majority of them (or close to a majority) voted Republican.
I wanted to give you a little more information about the white folks of Queens.
Many years ago I volunteered to work in the campaign of James Buckley for US Senator from New York (which he won, btw).
The campaign HQ assigned me to work with the folks of Queens.
Among our duties was handing out campaign literature at the baseball stadium (then Shea Stadium).
There were hundreds of Buckley volunteers talking with that distinctive Queens accent. I got to meet them and listen to their stories—it was amazing.
These folks had experienced lefty insanity that most Freepers from the heartland will never see in their lifetime. They had been ostracized, criticized, subject to physical attacks and these brave folks had the “bring it on, b&^%$” attitude.
They deserve the respect of Freepers who reside in their comfortable conservative burbs and go to their conservative churches.
They knew how to fight hard—and knew how to win.
