Women are more likely to cheat than men – here’s why

Science is finding that women struggle more than men when it comes to staying faithful in relationships.

“Even when your marriage is good, you still miss that rush of feeling so excited you can’t eat or sleep when you’re having such an intense time emotionally and sexually with a new person. That’s what I kept going after, and what I couldn’t say no to.”

That’s how Annika*, 45, from Melbourne, describes her experiences with cheating, and she’s far from alone. According to a growing body of research, many women in long-term relationships are sexually adventurous and have secret lovers.

The view that it’s mostly men who cheat because their partners lose interest in sex is outdated. Science says that it’s actually women who struggle more with monogamy because they get bored in the bedroom. Women crave sexual variety and while some stifle their desire, others will be unfaithful.

Historically, I believe that women were seen as “trouble” because of their uncontrollable sex drive. A lot of the “oppression” of the “patriarchy” seems to have been an effort by men to control women who tended to run around.

Somehow, the modern age got that switched all around. Women didn’t have orgasms. Women couldn’t find their clitoris. Women didn’t enjoy sex. Feminism came in, partly, to fix these problems and help women discover that sex wasn’t icky.

The excerpt uses the term term “science” in a rather definitive manner both times.
It uses “research” to make “science” sound official.

Mathematical manipulation of statistical data points is not “science”.

Science says that it’s actually women who struggle more with monogamy

A blanket statement like that is hogwash. They can say "a survey of women showed a large number expressed . . ." or "A statistical sample shows women behaving as . . . " They cannot say "SCIENCE SAYS women struggle more".

Besides the misrepresentation of the role of science, there is a complete disconnect with the meaning of monogamy to a healthy woman. If a woman likes the idea of a variety or tension that she is not getting in her marriage, it can be more than made up for by the intimacy of being close to ONE MAN who will be there to provide an protect. This increases if there are children, especially young children that are the fruit of the union.

Such a woman is also likely to have a better self-image, if she can look at herself in the mirror and know that she has been faithful to the man that she made vows to.

These feelings are not identical to sexual arousal, but they are certainly components of a happier life, including sex life.

The reporter doesn't understand what "science" is and does.

Another byproduct of the decrepit Women’s Movement.

The Women’s Movement, the spawn of hell, is really anti- social and anti-God.

Women who are brought up to love themselves as women, respect and honor men, and love their children and family generally will not cheat.

Another byproduct/symptom of the Women’s (Libber) Movement is frigidity. Their emotional and sexual relationship with their husband is dissatisfying. But their competition with their husbands to be the head is usually the kill shot to the marriage.

You never know what those women will do because they’ve lost their moorings. Women in America generally used to believe and trust in God who help guide them. Not so anymore with many it seems.

Another indicator is that she snaps at her man for no reason at all. She’s trying to push him away to make room for her new man.

Any move by the woman to reduce or eliminate intimacy should leave one concerned that she is road-testing somebody.

Also, once she falls out of love with you, that love is usually gone for good. You might get her to stay, but she will be forever half-committed.
