MSNBC host Joe Scarborough said on Friday’s “Morning Joe” that “Jesus never once talked about abortion” while discussing Roe v. Wade being overturned.
Scarborough said, “And let me just say, as a Southern Baptist, I grew up reading the Bible, maybe a backsliding Baptist, but I still know the Bible. Jesus never once talked about abortion, never once, and it was happening back in ancient times. It was happening during his time. Never once mentioned it.”

True!!! Bur Jesus talked a lot about “The Law.” The Ten Commandments. The sixth one of which is, “Thou shalt do no murder.”
Abortion by definition is murder - the intentional taking the life of another.
Jo Jo. Are you talking about Jesus with an “H”? Heysoos? Joey, you gotta get a life boy.
Games people play with the Bible (or their Madea-like mangling of it, lol, “Piece be steel”)…They’re just games and don’t deserve an honest attempt to correct.
Israel in Canaan sank very low: “Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils”, i.e. to the fires of Molech (Psalm 106). Live children. Satan was a murderer from the beginning, per Jesus. Didn’t he more than once instigate the slaughter of male children to thwart God’s promised seed?
No honest reading of Scripture supports sexual sin of any kind, so it’s obvious on its face that the attempt to “get rid of the evidence” is sin as well. One sin leads to another. Thanks to His kindness us sinners have hope, but he never calls sin anything less than what it is. Lawless man does that.
prolly because it WASN’T NECESSARY!!!
Rival of the prophets, he ain’t.
He doesnt mention catscans or mris either. So what?
Exodus 21:22-25 ESV:
“When men strive together and hit a pregnant woman, so that her children come out, but there is no harm, the one who hit her shall surely be fined, as the woman’s husband shall impose on him, and he shall pay as the judges determine. But if there is harm, then you shall pay life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.
Jesus never talked about a lot things, SO?
MY understanding is that God wasn’t too thrilled with the sacrifices to Molech (see Deut. 12:31)
Why does anyone care what this moron thinks? FR would be a better place without the daily nonsense-posts about whatever stupid thing Scare-boring says.
Matthew 18
5 'Anyone who welcomes one little child like this in my name welcomes me.
6 But anyone who is the downfall of one of these little ones who have faith in me would be better drowned in the depths of the sea with a great millstone round his neck.
Perhaps Jesus Christ would have spoken out against abortion if the number of children killed had been as high as it is today.
For sure.
One of the earliest Christian writings that did not make it into the New Testament is the Didache, which explicitly condemns abortion.
The Jews were known for not killing their children, unlike many of the neighboring peoples for whom exposing a newborn infant was perfectly acceptable. Jesus would not need to tell his disciples not to kill babies since as Jews they already recognized that as wrong.
The US Constitution doesn’t talk about it either, numb-nuts.
Who says they are pretending to be stupid? What they believe is that we are stupid. Them believing we are stupid, only makes them look stupid. 🙂
Yeshua did not think that murder was among the prevalent sins at the time, and abortion is murder. Yeshua addressed the major obstacles to following G-d that he saw in His days with us, which including manyh sins, as well as the religious errors of the leading clerics of the Jews. That did not mean He had no conern for many sins the new testament may not highlight.
Joe’s unwillingness to see how murder and abotion are joined, in respect for human life, shows his broader religious ignorance.
How do Liberals make that error? They make that error by refusing to acknwldged that the woman is not the only human life to consider.
Jesus never talked about robbing banks, so it must be okay!
I believe King Herod did. Well, sorta.
Joe, we’re abortions common then, you stupid moron?
