Yeah, and your not supposed to preach politics from the pulpit during election season, but it happens at every predominantly African-American church in the USA and nobody bats an eyelash.
The Hatch Act is a close second in legal dead letters. It’s regularly used by both political parties to harass the other. But usually the offender is allowed to wiggle out of it, even if a formal charge is brought. It’s the equivalent of cheating in golf. Frowned upon. Publicly condemned. But, unlike golf, never a disqualification.
