Low turnout so far for early voting in Bay Area; higher in-person voting turnout expected

SAN FRANCISCO -- Early voting numbers in parts of the Bay Area seem to indicate that turnout for Tuesday's general election could be on the low side, but some officials expect a last-minute boost from in-person voters.

With less than 24 hours before people are allowed to vote in person, only about 25 percent of voters have so far cast ballots by mail or by using drop boxes in Santa Clara, Contra Costa and San Francisco counties.

"It's super-low turnout currently," said Dawn Kruger, spokesperson for the Contra Costa County Registrar of Voters. "We've had early voting since Oct. 10 and as of Saturday, returns were at something like 25 percent."

Nice if Dems can’t even hold their noses and vote with their typical stupidity.

Can a libtard actually stumble into common sense ?

We know who mostly votes on election day. Hopefully, we do some damage on the left coast.

Probably means the local DEM candidates will only be getting 70% of the vote rather than the typical 75%.

“some officials expect a last-minute boost from in-person voters”

I saw this hilarious wishful thinking in the Seattle newspaper also (in their case claiming last minute mail voting).

Low turnout early means low turnout—end of story.

This is an off year election—magical turnout does not happen at the last minute.

The mass media hates admitting there is a lack of enthusiasm among Democratic voters.

They would tell a thousand lies before going there.

The lefty Democrats may hate Republicans—but they also hate inflation and urban crime and decay causing their life to get miserable.

The solution to their impossible dilemma—stay home on election day.

All of those laid off people from Twitter will have plenty of time to get to the polls and vote in person. Irregardless of the notion that they already sent in a few ballots via the mail.

"It's super-low turnout currently," said Dawn Kruger, spokesperson for the Contra Costa County Registrar of Voters. "We've had early voting since Oct. 10 and as of Saturday, returns were at something like 25 percent."

Democrats want every non-vote to be counted as a Democrat vote, and they've been trying to make this happen ever since Bush beat Gore.

Voting on Election Day is the best way to make your vote count as what you actually want. Early voting opens possibilities for your vote to be lost or misread.

We can get excited about which group is turning out or not, but the only thing that matters is who does the counting and their state of mind.

The purple-haired nose-ringers and sky-screamers counting the votes in most precincts are super-pissed this election because of Dobbs and because Trump is not yet incarcerated as they fully expected by now.

If you think 2020 was a sneaky theft, just wait for the blatant smash and grab they will stage this time.

RE: “It’s super-low turnout currently”

No offense to legal marijuana proponents on FR (there are many) but the political arena can be of low interest to people feeling laid back, relaxed and chillin’ like a villain.

Let the rest of the world go by.
