Michigan voters are accustomed to getting election results on election night but that won't be the case this Tuesday night. It may be 24 hours after the polls close that we will know who won in some key races and this could create another debate over who really won.
"I am really worried about what is going to happen on election night," said Richard Czuba.
Czuba, a Michigan pollster, with Glengariff, is not alone.
The person in charge of running a smooth, fair, and accurate election is worried as well - on two fronts. First, about potential distractions in and around polling places, and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson worries about how long it will take to count a mountain of absentee ballots of well over 1.2 million.
Those will not be counted on election eve.
So when will we know the final results of the election?
"It will be about a day, until Wednesday evening when, especially in close races, we'll know the full unofficial results of the election," Benson said.
On Election Day most of the voters will be Republicans which means after the polls close, those votes will be counted. And based on those Republican votes, candidate for governor Tudor Dixon could announce that she is the winner and the GOP candidate for state attorney general, Matt DePerno, could do the same.

Fool me once....
Maybe this time the establishment will believe in their theft.
Oh wait, HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
They've got it down to a science.
That's why they didn't have the issues that Wisconsin and Pennsylvania did after the 2020 "elections" - where all that info leaked out about the rigging in those two states.
"Dirty Josey" Benson, Michigan Secretary of Soros and her two Michigan Mean Girl buds have a firm hand on the tiller of The Michigan Steal Ship.
This is why the “vote only on election day” strategy really depends on the state. For a state like Michigan, it helps them to know exactly how many votes to come up with after the fact. If it is all mixed in with the GOP counties and precincts also reporting the mail in votes later, they can’t do that...they won’t have the numbers in front of them.
But aside from that, this is pathetic. A so-called “backwater” state like Kentucky has zero problem reporting its results timely.
They got hold of the 2016 Michigan general election ballots, and are using them somehow to "vote" for people that don't vote.
The Pubbies who control the Michigan legislature are in on the Michigan Steal.
They pulled this cr@p with the marijuana legalization question.
Instead of defusing the issue, they let it go to the ballot, so that there was greater Democrat turnout than normal.
They're doing it again with the abortion question.
I think John James will win, and we will pick up MI 8.
We’ve had no huge Absentee Ballots before?
LOL, our elections have become a massive joke.
I don’t think they are allowed to by law.
God, I hope so.
Those effing racists in the MI Dem Party stole the US Senate seat from him TWICE.
Ever other country can count the votes and announce the winner a few hours after the polls close but the USA can’t? Bull, Dems are planning another steal.
Why? Because cheating.
Hope they explode from the shock.
I’ll bet you $20 they cheat..
How sad is it that we can’t count ballots in a more timely manner.
Part of the shameless get out the vote for the Dems by the media and pollsters. Truth would dampen turnout for them.
Fool me one shame on you, fool me twice and get introduced to tar and feathers.
The Dems couldn’t wait, and are stealing the Powerball tonight.
Maybe the diesel shortage will result in insuffcient semi-trailers full of Democrat votes backing up to the counting centers at 3 AM Wednesday.
If they can’t get enough diesel to win by trucking in D votes, they may have to resort to lighter fluid instead, for disposing of R votes.
Whatever it takes to “fortify” the election, is what they’ll do.
This guy was a Dem operative before going into polling.
Sounds like he’s got the memo.
