All Is Well!
You might remember that phrase as being yelled by Chip Diller of "Animal House" as utter chaos erupted around him. Well, the media critic Bill Goodykoontz of the Arizona Republic also sounds like Diller with his assurances that all is well with the very very slow vote count in Arizona while declaring the long delay is perfectly normal on Saturday in "No, national media, vote counting in Arizona isn't 'messy,' no matter what Kari Lake says."
While assuring that a long delay in the vote count is quite normal, Goodykoontz also expresses frustration over why anyone would be upset by such a delay:

Giving credit where credit is due, it was Governor Jeb Bush who fixed Florida's election process after the embarrassing 2000 debacle.
Everyone wants to give credit to DeSantis but, really, he just tweaked it a bit. He was re-elected in a landslide because he is an exceptional leader, not because he fixed Florida.
Florida was already fixed and the kudos for this goes to Jeb Bush.

Well I know Broward itself was cleaned up after the ballot fraud incident. Didn’t know if any statewide changes had been made.

Is it true that 75% of the Arizonians voted by mail?? I read that somewhere. Except for military, illness and a few other out-of-town situations, mail in balloting must be stopped.
Same day voting should be the rule.
Maricopa county 90k drop … Lake wins 54%. Not good enough needed 64%. Looking grim.
Lake gained about 8,000 votes on Hobbs, but the percentage she needs to catch up went up by a couple of points.

When did Florida start fixing their election process? Was it right after the “hanging chad” mess? It was pretty embarrassing.

Some of it was fixed then. However, the big change came when Broward county kept adding ballots everyday after the 2018 election. They were trying to steal it from Rick Scott and Ron Desantis.
Scott was governor at the time and fired the election supervisor. Then Ron Desantis fired the one in Palm Beach County when he took over.
The laws no longer tolerate election week. It has to be counted that night, so there is no time for them to keep filling out ballots. Plus, they added a bunch of other security measures.
Would be nice if other states followed suit. Even if it means the Dems would win a race I’d rather be sure the election was on the level.
