Remember when we all were following the election night and next days (plural) vote counting for Trump’s re-election? Aherad by hundreds of thousands until middle of wee hours of the morning when counting stopped suddenly.
The Dems made sure to rush specially made signs and background walls that said “Office of the President Elect of the United States” and staged Biden to speak in front of them for the cameras? Took over a non-existent label while no one had declared several key states as certified for Biden.
The tail wagging the dog but that time Biden the mutt was allowed into the White House to urinate on the carpets.
Then the magic fraudulent ballots were driven to the counting centers and the fix was in. From Resident to “President” Biden.
Regardless of the eventual outcome here - aren’t you fed up with the sense of entitlement some have? McCarthy already moved into the Speaker’s office.
Roger that. Does anyone know a Republican in the House who can get the votes? Frankly, I think the RNC is so divided they are a joke. Hope I am wrong. The last thing a leader wants is subordinates surrendering or failing to engage the enemy.
The only honest resolution is for Kevin McCarthy to withdraw his name altogether from consideration, and for him to nominate another to take his place, say Steve Scalise. McCarthy has become the issue, and there is no promise that he can make to the hardcore resistance that could or would ever satisfy them. I am sure that a number of compromises were offered, which for some reason or another, were found unacceptable to the several parties involved. No resolution is possible in that circumstance, as the 20 or so simply will not stand aside, so certain they are that once in power, McCarthy would shaft them for sure.
From the outside, it looks like petty little games for petty little people. Being too close tends to magnify the importance of the object of these petty little games.
