A knife sheath discovered next to one of the four Idaho students killed in November had DNA on it that matched DNA found on trash from the home of the criminology graduate student charged in the stabbings, investigators allege in court records released Thursday.
Additionally, a phone registered to that man, Bryan Kohberger, was near the victims’ home at least 12 times between June and the day of the killings, according to an affidavit of probable cause. One of the surviving housemates saw a man dressed in black and wearing a mask leaving the home around 4 a.m. that day, the document says.
The new details offer a glimpse into what authorities say happened on the night they allege that Kohberger, 28, stabbed the University of Idaho students in their sleep.
The killings shocked the college town of Moscow, Idaho, and prompted a seven-week search for a suspect that drew thousands of tips and involved Idaho State Police and the FBI. Kohberger’s arrest Friday at his parents’ home in northeast Pennsylvania, more than 2,000 miles from the killings, marked a major break in the case.
Kohberger told a Pennsylvania judge on Tuesday that he would not fight extradition to Idaho, where authorities plan to prosecute him on four counts of murder and a burglary charge. His public defender in Pennsylvania, Jason LaBar, previously said that Kohberger expects to be exonerated.

That one fact really has me puzzled.
I find the girl survivor who came face to face with masked killer just look at her and walk by without killing her odd. She went back in her bedroom and locked the door and didn’t call anyone for 6 hours. Is she in on it? Remember the killer asked did you arrest anyone else when he was arrested.

yeah, there’s more to this story
stay tuned
First off the living quarters in the house was initially misrepresented by the press and maybe even intentionally by the police. Yes they said at first that D lived on the first floor. However the probable Cause Affidavit as well as reportedly her social media show her as sleeping and living on the second floor. On 11/13 she was sleeping on the second floor.
The YouTuber Jonathan Lee Riches Investigates has a video on the Uber order by X from Jack in the Box and discusses how Moscow per him doesn’t have a Jack in the Box and how he believes the order would have come from Pullman, WA which has one.
Also Photographed by the sink is a bag from Jack in the Box with Xs name written on it.
What stops the defense lawyer from saying that someone must have walked in through the front door that was open at 9AM and placed the sheath there?
What stops the defense lawyer from saying that then this someone placed his DNA on the sheath?
D not calling the police immediately helped create a crime scene that anyone could have manipulated from 4:30 AM until possibly as late as 12:00 PM or even a little later.
Believe present suspect appears guilty.
Whole bunch of people that looked possibly guilty before him though.
Lot of people who put things on social media incriminating themselves and others including possibly the present one.
Also how does anyone know there wasn’t more than one culprit?
Some expect D’s testimony to be big for the prosecution.
Believe she already messed up the prosecution’s case though by not allowing the preservation of an isolated, non-disturbed crime scene.
Right it was DoorDash.
so do you suppose Kohberger had a side gig as a Door Dash delivery driver?
so, witness "DM" (who's room is now being diagrammed as being on the "middle floor" near the staircase up to top floor) got the munchies & ate the meal from 4:00 am through the departure of the masked man about 4:20 while the murders were being committed?
did Kohberger know the DD delivery person? was the DD delivery person a class mate of Kohberger?
Jack in the Box would surely have a record of the delivery person.
has the delivery person's DNA been collected & compare to the crime scene?
could the witness (DM) been part of a 3 person team that provided advance logistic info?
Think police already cleared the delivery person.
Not sure why they have cleared most of the people they have cleared.
They don’t seem to think there is any connection between the driver and BK.
At first wondered if BK had worked for DoorDash too when the Pullman connection came out.
Thinking maybe BK was by the back door when the DoorDash driver arrived.
If the Jack in The Box delivery got eaten believe it was X and maybe even E who had food.

If BK had a side gig at Door Dash, that could explain why his phone was pinged 12x in that neighborhood???
Just seems difficult to see how two strangers (dd delivery man & masked man) were seen inside the complex around 4 am while the murders were being committed
I wonder where you could get DoorDash delivered from at 4:00 AM in Moscow ID?
I live in a pretty urban area and nobody I mean nobody’s delivering at 4:00 AM!
Yes I realize it’s a college town and that the girls were seen at the food truck at 1:30 AM. It’s a long time between 1:30 AM and 4:00 AM especially if you’re partied out.

Good point. The whole thing is like a bad B movie. We will never know the truth about what happened but it will be interesting watching it unfold.
I think the public defender quoted in the article is the one in Pennsylvania.
Good point, could be. I have seen him giving an interview recently and both of the defenders sound like they may be good at their job.
Will look at this again given time.
Per the Pennsylvania public defender the ping can happen within a 20 mile radius and BK lived only 10 miles away in Pullman, WA.
