A knife sheath discovered next to one of the four Idaho students killed in November had DNA on it that matched DNA found on trash from the home of the criminology graduate student charged in the stabbings, investigators allege in court records released Thursday.
Additionally, a phone registered to that man, Bryan Kohberger, was near the victims’ home at least 12 times between June and the day of the killings, according to an affidavit of probable cause. One of the surviving housemates saw a man dressed in black and wearing a mask leaving the home around 4 a.m. that day, the document says.
The new details offer a glimpse into what authorities say happened on the night they allege that Kohberger, 28, stabbed the University of Idaho students in their sleep.
The killings shocked the college town of Moscow, Idaho, and prompted a seven-week search for a suspect that drew thousands of tips and involved Idaho State Police and the FBI. Kohberger’s arrest Friday at his parents’ home in northeast Pennsylvania, more than 2,000 miles from the killings, marked a major break in the case.
Kohberger told a Pennsylvania judge on Tuesday that he would not fight extradition to Idaho, where authorities plan to prosecute him on four counts of murder and a burglary charge. His public defender in Pennsylvania, Jason LaBar, previously said that Kohberger expects to be exonerated.

The authorities were raked over the coals for being incompetent when, in fact, they had plenty of leads. The fact they kept everything quiet says a lot.
We were led to believe the roommates were sound asleep when one of them actually encountered Kohberger. This guy was actually pretty dumb.
Appears he still has cuts on his right arm too
This freak even went back to the scene of the murder the next morning at 9am BEFORE the police had arrived.
They have his location data
And politicians, too. Far aside from their politics, which can be legitimately attacked, personal attacks are just as likely, and the more lurid and/or fanciful, the better.
Makes me think the traffic stops were on purpose to put eyes on him as he traveled to Pennsylvania. I feel sorry for that dad that had no clue. Also I read that the Pennsylvania authorities are looking into cold cases.
And if you think that’s weird get this - his sister did a low budget slasher film about 10 years ago where students get hacked up
They would be negligent in their duties if they did not. Ironically, Slow-burger's PA residence is about 30 miles from Moscow, Pennsylvania.
The FBI asked for those stops to be made according to foxnews
Kohberger allegedly left behind a tan leather knife sheath laying on the bed next to Mogen’s right side.
The sheath had “Ka-Bar” anda United States marine Corps eagle globe and anchor insignia stamped on the outside of it.
“The Idaho State Lab later located a single source of male DNA (suspect profile) left on the button snap of the knife sheath,” the filing says.
Yes, they wanted to see his hands and observe his demeanor - on body camera.
Don't even hardly know what to do with mine

Societies over the years have recognized that executing destructive individuals was necessary. The societies couldn’t afford the cost of rehabilitation or imprisonment or the eventual release of these individuals back into society.
Execution was employed not not just out of anger.
Our modern societies can afford more costly handling of weak and destructive individuals.
Probably 20 years old looks brand new never used
Has the box and pamphlet everything
Just guessing of course, but to answer those questions, my theory would be this:
The two surviving occupants of the house were on the ground floor, I believe. Perhaps entrance to that is from the side of the house you often see in photos and the entrance to the other floors from a different access point around the back.
The perp knew this and went in and out that way. He confronted one pair of victims, gagged them and proceeded to kill them. A certain amount of muffled noise would be heard both downstairs and in the room of the two other victims. It might have sounded within the limits of “fooling around” noise given that it was muffled. So nobody gets up to see what’s happening. The same sequence plays out with the second pair of victims. Downstairs, the two survivors are thinking, what’s going on up there? But they figure it is either okay or too dangerous to intervene. Somebody’s looking out the window and they spot the perp leaving. He might not have seen them watching him, or he may for whatever reason think he’s done enough and spares them.
Despite all this, the two survivors don’t check out anything further until the (late) morning at which time they discover evidence of the crime and call in friends and the police.
As to 4:00 a.m. and not 3:30 a.m., that might be within the boundaries of (a) faulty time estimates either way, or (b) a certain amount of time the perp then spent at the crime scene rather than making a fast exit, although you would think (not being a crazed killer ourselves) that having done all that you would figure the police could be on the way because who knows what those other occupants or neighbors might have heard? I do wonder if the perp knew there were two more students in that other part of the house. He might have been so fixated on his victims that he was never aware of the third part of the house and thought it was a basement.
Breaking news?

If you want to do something out of view, don’t take your phone with you! And actually making or receiving calls is tracked. And emails, and social media, and pretty soon going somewhere in your car. And possibly walking with all the cameras amongst us.
Dangerous things, these phones!

No - one of the surviving roommates (Dylan) saw the masked killer.
She thought Kaylee was playing with the dog. The dog barked. She heard cries. She heard the murder say “I’m here to help you”. He walked by her!
Idaho has a death penalty. We will see him killed by lethal injection in 2051.
I didn’t read the Fox news link yet, but seeing a masked man or even having said masked man walk right by you is not “seeing a killer” until you know he’s killed. So the question would be, did those survivors realize he was a killer, or yet another random stranger coming and going from their apparently active house? If they knew there had been killing at 0400h then why wait until 1130h to phone 911?
