IIRC, decades ago, a set of male twins were born. The circumcision on one of the boys was botched. In their infinite wisdom, the doctors decided that that twin would be bought up as a girl. The parents were on board with the decision. That boy always felt something was ‘wrong’. He didn’t find out that he had been born a boy until he was much older. He then ‘reverted’ to living as his true gender. I cannot remember the complete story, but Nature is a very strong indicator of a person’s identity.
Doctors would be smart to remember history instead of allowing themselves to be swept up in trends.
