A lawyer for former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin made his case on Wednesday for why his client's three convictions in the murder of George Floyd should be overturned, which the state vehemently rebutted.

Here is his report on his death. Those police officers will one day be freed on appeal and make millions.
They were railroaded.
Candice Owens reports that the family did not even clean out Floyds home since they never were a family that lived together. They were only interested in the money!
Here is George Floyds drug results. No injuries. It was the drugs that HE SWALLOWED that killed him. He was selling the drug to others.

"Your Honor, I now call the owner of the El Nuevo Rodeo club in Minneapolis, Maya Santamaria, to the stand."
- "Maam, did you not tell KSTP that Mr. Chauvin and Big Gorge "both worked security for her club up to the end of last year"?
"Chauvin was our off-duty police for almost the entirety of the 17 years that we were open," Santamaria said. "They were working together at the same time, it's just that Chauvin worked outside and the security guards were inside...the two overlapped working security on popular music nights within the last year...""My friend sent me (the video) and said this is your guy who used to work for you and I said, 'It's not him.' And then they did the closeup and that's when I said, 'Oh my God, that's him,'" Santamaria said. "I didn't recognize George as one of our security guys because he looked really different lying there like that."
- "Maam, did you hire Big Gorge after he drifted up north from serving five years in prison for a home invasion conviction?"
" Santamaria wondered if Monday's incident could have turned out differently if Chauvin recognized Floyd from their days working at her club.‘What if he could’ve just said “Hey, man, you and I worked together at Maya’s place. Remember me?”’ she said."
- "Your Honor. Under Minnesota Statute 609.195, Murder3 requires "depraved heart", yet these 2 men knew each other. No previous Minnesota Murder3 conviction has ever stood on appeal, when there was any evidence that the assailant knew the victim. Therefore, I ask this Court to immediately vacate the original verdict on the Murder3 count and order a retrial; or in the alternate, I ask this Court to fully endorse a writ of certiorari to the United States Supreme Court on the same grounds."
- "Finally, Your Honor, I submit the following: A stopped clock — even one that stopped in the 7th Century — is right twice a day.
And so I ask you, Your Honor, a simple question: is being covered in white paint asphyxiating?
Because this Court is attempting to 'paint' Mr. Chauvin with the white paint of every crime supposedly carried out on Big Gorge since the beginning of time!
I tell you this, unconditionally -- the irrational drive behind hate crime legistlation is that history is only written by the winners. And I can prove it.
Witness your Democrat comrades specifically complicit in abandoning American citizens in Afghanistan, just so that Biden's Taliban conspirators could paint over Big Gorge in Kabul!
Can Big Gorge covered in white paint breathe? Or perhaps the Taliban leaders should also be subpoenaed to this kangaroo court and prosecuted for their lack of obesiance!
I hearby move that the state's verdict be vacated with retrial, I move further that a special prosecutor be appointed to determine why the owner of El Nuevo Rodeo was never called as a material witness in the state trial!"
What sort of aid would you have recommended for a man who had just killed himself with an overdose of Fentanyl?
Bear in mind, nobody at the time knew Floyd had taken a lethal dose of Fentanyl.
How did Chauvin commit manslaughter?
I do not feel that Derek Chauvin committed any violation. I felt that he was carrying out his chosen occupation of enforcing existing laws according to the code and his supervised training.
This is the way my post should have read:
==========
MinorityRepublican (Post #65): Murder no. Manslaughter yes. He should get credit for time served in prison.
imardmd1 (Post #77): No. With your opinion, you ought to serve time in Derek's place, IMHO.

Is that part of the transcript of the lawyer for the appeal?
Okay. No problem.
