LEADER OF THE PACK: Trump on Top in Latest Morning Consult Poll
Hannity.com ^ | 2.17.23

Posted on 02/27/2023 8:47:30 AM PST by SoConPubbie

According to a recent Morning Consult Poll, former President and 2024 candidate Donald Trump is way out in front of fellow 2024 hypothetical presidential candidates; Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is trailing behind the former Prez by 18 points.

From The Post Millennial:

The survey, released last Tuesday, saw similar results to other recent polls that also saw Trump come out on top. According to the results, Trump was backed by 49 percent of potential Republican primary voters, a slight increase from the 48 percent of support he garnered in the same survey a month before.

DeSantis came in second place with 31 percent support, followed by former Vice President Mike Pence with 7 percent and Nikki Haley with 3 percent. Haley, a former governor of South Carolina and US ambassador to the United Nations, announced her candidacy for president in January.

Neither DeSantis nor Pence have formally announced a run.

How is he going to beat Biden when he lost last time?

Either he was cheated…and they still will cheat or the populace is indoctrinated and mostly moronic…and they still will be.

Best go with Desantis, I think we will get many more independents with him.

My 2c.

How will DeSantis' policies be materially different from Trump's?

And if there is no material difference, why in the HELL would you think they would treat DeSantis any different than Trump?

Trump and Biden have done for geriatric presidents what Obama has done for black ones - made the public sick of them.

Also, both ruled by EOs, very few laws. Nearly every one of Trump’s accomplishments has been erased already.

Passing laws requires more than brashness and ego - look back at Reagan. DeSantis is close without even announcing, and has far less recognition. He uses legislation rather than EOs, he’s young, has young children, and a veteran.

Most of us have reached our saturation limit with Trump. The “Bread and Circuses” routine has grown beyond old.

We need an actual primary, not a coronation.

Bullshit!

And extremely deceitful.

False comparison as Biden is a dottering fool and Trump is still as sharp as he has always been in in top physical condition.

But those facts wont stop DeSanctimonious supporters from twisting the truth will it?!

If it’s hopeless for Trump, it’s hopeless for DeSantis. The media and leftist controlled organizations will demonize DeSantis in the same way they went after Trump. Will DeSantis fight back or be a punching bag? I think the former, and when he fights back, they will say he’s mean, too.

If they don’t demonize DeSantis, BTW, it means he’s either a covert swamp creature or they are trying to stop Trump. If DeSantis wins the nomination, he will be treated no differently than Trump.

You can’t pass laws without Congress. Trump had two years with a Republican Congress, and they fought him. Remember McCain and his Obamacare vote? How about Paul Ryan (RINO?) and his border wall opposition? The RINOs will not treat DeSantis any better, unless he goes full on RINO of course.

You Desantis folks MIGHT want to dig in a little deeper. Do your homework.

Sunday Question – The Inversion and Awakening
February 26, 2023 | Sundance | 629 Comments

Here’s a question I have. I am looking forward to your opinion. I have my own.

In the Trump -vs- DeSantis storyline the following data points are generally agreed:

♦Approximately 75% of the Big Con “INFLUENCERS” (Big $) and punditry Support Ron DeSantis
♦Approximately 25% of the Small “Influencers” (Small $) and Indy punditry Support Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, amid the voting base the inverse is true:

♦Approximately 25% of the conservative, working-class, base voters support Ron DeSantis
♦Approximately 75% of the conservative, working-class, base voters support Donald Trump

Reconcile this inversion. What does it mean?

Yes, all who disagree with you shall be called names, because your way is the only way. Got it.

I hear the grape Kool Aid is less bitter, you might want to try it next time.

Because the low information voters had 5 years of constant hit stories given to them by fake news and they hate his guts now.
Desantis is much more fresh and an unknown.

That’s why the hell why.

Leave it to some people to twist the indefensible so out of whack it makes me feel sorry for them.

1. Trump knows he was cheated in 2020. Does anyone doubt he’s taken measures? Does anyone think he’s stupid enough to announce those measures?

2. I don’t see anybody sick of African-American presidents. Obama is on his third term and his base follow him blindly. Does anybody still seemed surprised by this?

Until Gov DeSantiss expresses contempt for the Uniparty Wing of the GOP, especially the donor class, he’s just another controlled politician to me.

The man needs to team up with Trump or remain Gov.

Please please please tell me you aren’t so naive that you think the media wouldn’t immediately do the same to DeSantis if he were to be the nominee? You do understand they will do this to whoever the nominee is, right?

calling ron desantis “desanctimonious” for doing the job us floridians elected him to do makes trump look like a jealous loser...

Put it this way. We are going to run a race and are both average runners.

I’m DeSantis and you are Trump
A 5 mile race and I start on the start line and your are penalized 5 miles so you have to run 10.

Highly doubtful you are going to catch up to me who has no previous hinderance.

Oh and here are the penalties:

1. Trump is a racist, a lie but a few % believe it
2. Trump is a Russian colluder, a damned lie but more useful idiots believed it
3. Trump ordered the Jan 6 riot and wanted to overthrow an honest election, another lie but after 3 months of biased media coverage last year b]and Stalin like show trials a HUGE number believe it.

Ron DeSantis, and his Campaign Team, committed an unforced error by putting out his "On the Eighth Day God Created a Fighter".

It displayed a sense of hubris and arrogance.

DeSantis earned the moniker "DeSanctimonious" because he signed off on this ad. Pretending that this is not the case doesn't make it go away, and trying to make President Trump the bad guy in this because he was offered a pitch right over the sweet spot of the plate doesn't work.

As a reminder of how cringeworthy that ad was, you will find a link to it in the following article:

On the eighth day, God made ... Ron DeSantis? | Letters

And the only thing that's changed is Trump has more enemies now than before.

Trump, been there, done that. A cluster so bad we ended up with a dementia patient as President.
