NYC Mayor Eric Adams Aiming to Resettle Immigrants Across US
The Washington Examiner ^

New York City Mayor Eric Adams is planning to resettle immigrants across the United States.

Adams, a Democrat, unveiled his plans in a policy briefing released Tuesday titled "The Road Forward: A Blueprint to Address New York City’s Response to the Asylum Seeker Crisis." In his preface, Adams implicitly admits the overwhelming nature of the crisis, saying the city is unable to solve the "asylum seeker crisis" on its own.

The move comes after a large wave of immigrants, sent by bus from red states, has left the city struggling to cope. Adams admitted it himself.

Well, it looks like the strategy used by Govwenors Abbot and DeSantis has made at least one convert. If the largest and wealthiest city in America can’t handle a few tens of thousands of illegals, how the heck can we expect border towns to do so. I bet nobody calls it “kidnapping” like they did when Abbott and DeSantis were relocating “migrants”

It would be better to close the border.

Oh heck lets just scatter them throughout the USA so when they’re ready to protest because they’re not getting a ‘free’ lifestyle they came here for - they’ll all be in our cities and communities burning things down.

Typical progressive. Cling to the virtue signaling, while dump the problems that the virtue signaling creates on others.

‘Eff him, and ‘eff NY.

The process of transferring this illegal immigrants to other states is immoral, illegal and racist, per the blue states.

Adams should be cancelled and immediately thrown in jail for such hateful actions against the illegal immigrants, he is committing crimes against humanity! Where are the cries form the left now?!

Hypocrites every single one!

He’ll pick out areas that are either red or purple.

We have important elections coming up next year.

Since it seems we will never close the border in the last few years of this republic, we should build bullet trains from Florida, Texas and Arizona directly to NYC.

“Immigrants”?! I don’t see any of those. I see illegal invaders. I see rises in murder, robberies and rape. I see these illegals getting free bennies that I pay for.

Also, I USED to see a Republic and am getting sick and tired of being called a democracy.

These guys can’t get anything right.

Sent them to Martha’s Vineyard. They know how to handle them in their self-declared sanctuary.

I miss winning so much.

I'd take just one win given the string of losing under Brandon.

Last year there were 2 million ‘immigrants’ (in addition to real immigrants). NYC has a population of about 8.8 million which is 2.4% of the US 330 million. An even distribution would mean NYC taking in 48000 of those 2 million.

True, but “immigrants” have never been evenly distributed. The burden has historically been borne very disproportionately by the border towns and cities in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. Many of these towns have had to deal with more “immigrants” over the course of a month than NYC has ever dealt with. This just highlights the absurdity of the left’s policy of just ignoring the issue; if New York can’t handle it, how the heck can we expect Yuma, Arizona or El Paso, Texas to do so?

It also exposes the hypocrisy- sanctuary cities have always been able to call themselves that because they weren’t the ones who had to handle the problem. It’s easy to preach about welcoming “immigrants” when there are none anywhere within a thousand miles of your city. Adams is now learning the hard way that ignoring the problem is not a solution.

We have always recognized the problem, but between the crazy left, the more sane Dems (if any are still around) and the chamber of commerce type Republicans who just want the supply of cheap labor to keep flowing, we are not the majority. To get anything done, www we need these other folks to wake up and realize that there is a problem. I have no hope for the crazy left, but maybe some of the others I mentioned might start to get it and we can actually work on closing and securing the border.

so we are not giving you that information (about which other cities will take the illegals).

In other words, he hasn't found any yet.

Texas should pay landowners a million bucks each for allowing the state to set up barriers on their property. Move it back a couple of hundred feet and call it the biggest container storage facility in the country. Every now and then swap out a few containers to show that there is work being done.
