Cuban immigrants in Russia are joining the army to fight in Ukraine in exchange for citizenship, a report says.

Several Cubans have signed year-long contracts and were sent to the war zone on Wednesday, local news outlet the Ryazan Gazette reported.

Those who signed contracts to fight will receive a one-time payment from Russia's federal government equivalent to $2,433 and another $2,500 from the region of Ryazan, along with a monthly salary of $2,545, The New York Post reported.

The Russian military has been offering enhanced pay to potential recruits many times the average Russian monthly wage of 63,060 rubles ($810), to reinforce its depleted ranks, according to a recent report.

Will these Cubans also get an allowance to fix up their ancient American cars? I think that would be kinda important.

Cubans have a long history of fighting alongside the Russians in Africa- Angola, Congo, Ethiopia, Sudan. Generally, their forces comported themselves well- from the Russian perspective this makes a lot of sense. If the conflict drags on, wouldn’t surprise me to see actual expeditionary forces from other Russia aligned countries- if they aren’t already embedded to gain combat experience and as USA/NATO forces already are.

Iranians, Syrians, North Koreans, Cubans and Venezuelans. Money and oil should do it. Ideally, Yevgeny Prigozhin is the right guy to facilitate all of this but I assume Putin would be threatened by him. In Russia, you can't have powerful men outside of the ruling tsar.

It shows how bad the Cuban paradise is, when their own people beg to become cannon fodder for Russia, just to receive measly Russian citizenship? They actually prefer to go into a war zone instead of remaining in Cuba.

Michael Moore and Sean Penn are always telling us how the USA needs to be more like Cuba.

The way the woke US military is going, they may have to do something similar in a few years to get enough volunteers. Most of the “migrants” at the so- called US border are young, able bodied men anyway.

Give US citizenship to illegals or deport them.

That “ancient” American car would fetch about 50 grand on the market today here if it is in as good of shape it appears to be.

Around here, there are guys from Australia and New Zealand coming in snapping up those “ancient” American cars like crazy.

Che supposedly said to Fidel: “We are wasting our time on this one flyspeck on the continent” (meaning now that they conquered Cuba they should get on with the world takeover for Communism). Fidel didn’t agree.

Fidel was more than happy to point out Che to the Bolivians, it solved a big headache for him.

Ha. Loyalty, ain’t it grand?

If Che had lived think of all the college student shirts, posters and flags he could have gotten his percentage for the Big guy like Joe Biden.

Unbelievable story that they auction the lousy Commie’s stuff for a fortune now....

Che ended up being an icon, you could say he's our Mona Lisa of the 20th Century, right up there with Marilyn Monroe.

Illustrates the pathetic state of affairs noted in my reply #15 on this thread. Glorifying a killer and his band of Commies.

Immigrants are already getting American citizenship by serving in our armed services.
