Get yourself a good 870 style shotgun with 00. or slugs and a couple of loyal dogs. You don’t need a semiautomatic when you can kill a bastard and take his. (I own a few, but I sleep with a bear gun, 12. And a 10mm)
I call it a bear gun because it will take out a bear. Most hunting guides carry a 12 because it will absolutely take out a grizzly, momma moose, or a squatch. And you don’t have to worry about killing your neighbors. (I only live on a quarter acre)
Oh, and loyal dogs... I prefer Catahoula. Very unique, yet loyal, loving, and very smart. Smart enough that they don’t do tricks.
Unique as the bark and the feet. You can tell a Catahoula from its bark to its toes. Their feet are a little different and the bark is scary to those who don’t know. Great dogs but you got to love on them.
