Yup. One of the biggest mistakes Biteme made was changing the pull out date of Aftganiscrap. IIRC, SOS Pompeo actually sat down with the Taliban for negotiations for our pullout. Pompeo stated that Trump told the Taliban if they break the agreement by harming ANY American or break it by any other means, they will see "HELL rain down from the skies like it's never been seen before.", or something to that effect. I think that statement has been disproven.
Location of Taliban forces in DOHA Agreement meant that if the Taliban moved too close to an important location, Pompeo and Khalilzad would coordinate with Miller and then let the chief Taliban negotiator Mullah Baradar “he had two hours to fix it. If he didn’t, we rained down fire on his people in the field until he got the message.” Actual wording.
Also, The other element to deterring the Taliban was Trump’s stance through the Pompeo talks that if harm came to any Americans during the peace talks process and a treaty time line for withdrawal, the US president at the time would “nuke you (Taliban) back to the stone age.” Actual wording.
Of course once Biteme broke that signed agreement with the Taliban and Aftgan government, the Taliban broke the rest of the agreement and moved on the Aftgan government who ran like cowards after 20 years of our blood, limbs, training, equipment, and monetary support.
The result: The debacle at Kabul that the World saw in real time. No matter how much Biden and handlers have tried to blame Trump, the facts are that Biden broke an organized withdrawal signed by the US, Taliban, and Aftgan government.
