That's right.
It was amazing to watch the propaganda unfold online, including on this site, stating Wagner was going to topple Putin.
So far as I read, Prigozhin never stated this was about ousting Putin. It was about ousting some in leadership, and leaving the rest of the government intact as is (which would include Putin). Prigozhin's statements. [1][2] and a great summary of why [3]
Seems to me all Prigozhin wanted was to be able to call the shots on how the war was conducted.
