Ping!
Thanks the TRUTH. The lying article is yet another example of continual journalistic IG or nance, malfeasance, and manipulation.
But if you even question anything, they collude to silence us as peasants because “the science is decided”.
(Which is another lie on top of the other lies.)
Due to geography and elevation; please see prior posts by others.
+1 :-)
“Since the canal is fed from the two oceans it links together, how can it dry up? I am puzzled.”
Not only that, but according to the idiot left... the sea levels are rising at an alarming rate. So.... what’s the problem with the canal? Logic says it would only get deeper, if that were the case. Oh wait. Leftists don’t do logic. Nevermind.
There goes any shred of credibility Kevin Neece might have had.
The Dust Bowl was in the 1930s, remember. We still have 7 years until the full century, if you want to be that pedantic about my limited observation.
Better farming techniques and husbandry are among the reasons for no “Dust Bowl” in the Heartland, but there is drought all over the place. Where there isn’t flooding, that is. As I said, patterns. Not effects.
Wait.
The canal has a large ocean on each side of it.
I thought climate change predicted the sea level to rise.
But this author is reporting the exact opposite.
Which is it, Skippy?
A lot of it is in the mountains fed by a lake.
“Whattaya gonna do? It’s global climate change. Shut up and take it.”
I was not aware of the Panama Canal Railway. Perhaps an expansion or a 2nd set of tracks are in order???
Waiting for El Niño to come along and fix everything ...
Or maybe it’s La Niña ...
Jimmy Carter sold it to the Chinese and they have not spent a dime on its maintenance. The Chinese never do maintenance on anything.

The question might be why the elevation change. Could not the locks control the E-W flow if the canal removed the elevated section?
No idea how much more excavation that might entail or what all. It was a ditch that had to be dug originally, why did they leave the high section?
Answer might be apparent, but the lake thing was new to me not long ago.
Now we get to the real mystery:
Why the Caribbean entrance at Colón is to the west of the Pacific entrance at Panama City.
