This is a blatant subsidy for robot manufacturers.
No salary.
No social security or Medicare withholding.
No health care benefits.
No worker’s compensation.
No wrongful discharge lawsuits.
No calling out for a legitimate or lame excuse.
No showing up late to work or whining about the schedule.
Make and sell their own bread? Which chain ponied up the political contributions to carve out that exemption? Panera?
No, this is a blatant attempt to wipe out the fast food industry in kalifornia. The impact is on all chain restaurants, not only mickey Ds. Millions more will be unemployed there.

Yes but its also for closing more food optioms for the general public, as they want less food options for people, especially ones that serve animal/meat items.

The last chain fast food restaurants I ate at in California had all minority employees. Many of them will be unemployed now.
Well Taco Bells in San Angeles.....
The McDonalds in my hometown has already done away with most of their cashiers and gone to those electronic ordering screens. I’m guessing in a year, or two robots will be doing everything in McDonalds from making the food to cleaning, with just a couple employees standing around to make sure everything works right.
