Yes but its also for closing more food optioms for the general public, as they want less food options for people, especially ones that serve animal/meat items.
The people of California are the ones that are not fighting this crap. It is up to them to stop their politicians from passing bills that are so bad that it will impoverish their middle class.
I am not a lawyer but sounds to me like this violates the interstate commerce clause. Also this thing has the SEIU hands all over it. There is probably a carve out for franchises that sign union contracts and withhold union dues.
