Mommy, What were those places called “McDonalds” you talk about? What did they do before they all closed?
Jealous.
West Central Florida - JJs all over here (I searched - never been there) - Thanks - one just up the street - I’ll drop by - ‘Course there’s rumors In’N’Out is coming here to our southeast ... We left San Diego in 1993 way before it went down with the rest of California. Sigh.
;-)
20 per our is ridiculous
“The last chain fast food restaurants I ate at in California had all minority employees”
Except they’re not minorities there.
Oh, how I miss my Double Double with Cheese. Did you know this? https://ktla.com/news/which-bible-verses-are-printed-on-in-n-outs-burgers-fries-and-milkshakes/
These bastards in CA. JUST completed the $15.00 an hour minimum wage hike!! They WILL NEVER STOP I think last year was the last step bringing the wage to $15.00 an hour NOW they want $20.00 an hour, there won’t be a business LEFT IN CA.!! The cost of goods will go way up as if inflation hasn’t caused enough pain already!! The damn workers NEVER see the raise because the payroll deductions take it all away, workers comp insurance is already out of control which is tied to cost of payroll!! The ONLY damn peop,e benefiting from the increase is MORE tax money to the stinking government!!
$20/hr? Is that a joke? I’m a pharmacy tech that’s certified to give vaccines in my state, have to partake in continuing education, and that’s what I make.
They cook food... Or what passes as food, in most cases.
Infuriating. It really is.
Diana in Wisconsin posted and interesting pie graph of the hidden costs of what goes into a meal.
I’m drunk and tired or else I’d find it and post it lol
I somehow missed those but anything that helps a person with a perspective on their life’s value and purpose is good with me.
I’m still working on that.
;-)
Working at a McDonalds, Burger King, etc isn’t supposed to be a career.
They’re considered “entry level” jobs that are for high school/ college kids so they can gain work experience. These positions are also good for retirees who want a little extra income.
Again, these are not, we’re not supposed to be considered “career” jobs.
So with this legislation, Skippy McBurgerflipper is going to make more per hour ($20/hr) flipping ten cent mystery meat pucks than a Utility Locator ($17.61/hr) who’s responsible for accurately marking out millions of dollars worth of critical infrastructure by looking up and understanding technical prints of underground utilities, finding access points, isolating and putting a tone on the utility and marking it out.
“Idiocracy kiosks here we come.”
“Welcome to Carl’s Jr. Would you like to try our EXTRA BIG A$$ TACO? Now with more MOLECULES!”
“It would apply to restaurants with at least 60 locations nationwide, except for restaurants that make and sell their own bread.”
An illegal cutout for subway.
Got it. Thanks.
“It would apply to restaurants with at least 60 locations nationwide, except for restaurants that make and sell their own bread”
So Subway lobbiests did their job, and greased the grimey palms of Kalifornias Rat politicians.
Real easy fix. New at Subway. Build your own take home kit. Buy your bread, meat, cheese and fixing separately. Or just buy our bread and use your own Deli items.
Good idea. It’s a crazy bread making/selling rule that begs lobbying details.
Entry level bugger flipper jobs starting at $20 hr? Next year raise it to $40.
California AB 1228
bkmk
Have you sobered up yet, Sparky?
It’s bad form to show up drunk at Church, LOL!
