Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis turns on ‘malignant narcissist’ ex-president
The Guardian ^ | 09/15/2023 | Martin Pengelly

Jenna Ellis – the Donald Trump lawyer who like the former president faces criminal charges regarding attempted election subversion in his defeat by Joe Biden in 2020 – says she will not vote for him in the future because he is a “malignant narcissist” who cannot admit mistakes.

“I simply can’t support him for elected office again,” Ellis said. “Why I have chosen to distance is because of that frankly malignant narcissistic tendency to simply say that he’s never done anything wrong.”

***

Described by the New York Times *** as “a lawyer whom Trump sought out after seeing her television commentary”, in 2020 Ellis rose from relative obscurity to become part of what she called an “elite strike force team” working to overturn Trump’s defeat by Biden.

On her show on Thursday, she spoke to Steve Deace, another rightwing host.

Deace said: “Before that man [Trump] needs to be president again … [to] escape the quote-unquote, ‘witch-hunts’, that man needs Jesus again because … his ambitions would be fueled by showing some self-awareness. And he won’t do it because he can’t admit, ‘I’m not God.”

Ellis said Deace had “perfectly articulated exactly how I as a voter feel”. She knew Trump well “as a friend, as a former boss”, she said, adding: “I have great love and respect for him personally.

“But everything that you just said resonates with me as exactly why I simply can’t support him for elected office again. Why I have chosen to distance is because of that, frankly, malignant narcissistic tendency to simply say that he’s never done anything wrong.

“And the total idolatry that I’m seeing from some of the supporters that are unwilling to put the constitution and the country and the conservative principles above their love for a star is really troubling. ***

19th amendment strikes again. I would like for the bimbo to point out which presidential candidate is this introspective, non-narcissistic, and always talking about the mistakes they have made.

“Ellis was a critic of Donald Trump and his supporters in 2015 and early 2016 until he became the 2016 Republican nominee for president, at which point Ellis began voicing support, including in media appearances.”

People can change, right?

Trump donations to Hillary Clinton:

2009 Trump gave $4,000 to Hillary Clinton

2005:Trump gave$2,900 to Hillary Clinton

Trump has also donated to Kamala Harris

I’m not out there breaking the rules of being a lawyer by trashing a client. But then, the legal profession no longer has ethics so I guess it’s OK for her to get down and wallow in the mud with the other pigs.

Tump donated to all candidates, liberal and conservative, and, as a rabid DeSantis supporter, you only name the liberals.

Trump explained that as the cost of doing business. Legalized bribery. He kept the jackals off his trail.

Today, the legal strategy is to use book deals to bribe politicians. DeSantis received his bribe with his hefty payment for his book.

But the jackals don’t forgive, neither do you.

So which one of the also-rans is her preferred candidate? Or is Biden’s charm too much to resist?

I would have fired Fauci and company and promoted the treatments that were proving to be effective. If so, my brother would probably be alive today.

Yet another of Trump’s timebomb staffers detonates.

This is a rather simplistic, knee-jerk reaction --- ignoring completely the criminal federal lawfare prompting Ellis.

She's an attorney who has been stripped of her attorney client privilege and turned into a defendant forced to fight for her own freedom.

As with all lawfare, the indictment itself is the crime. And this crime is designed to threaten and coerce individuals to flip on the main target in return for a reduced sentence.

Think it through, Lurker, think it through before reacting.

Who hired her? Oh wait. Another top shelf hire.

Who stripped this attorney of her attorney-client privilege, turned her into a defendant and is forcing her to fight for her personal freedom?

Pro-tip: Don't forget to think on your way to the next irrelevant knee-jerk reaction.

Lots of talk about Ellis back to 2020.

This is not surprising.

Jenna is just trying to escape the endless lawfare and 40 year sentences the Deep State is threatening her with for being Trump's lawyer.

Yup! Exactly.

Either way, if she keeps on talking like this she will have nothing left in the end.

Agree, again. Ellis needs to breathe deeply and find the courage and legal strategy to stop reacting to the lawfare master plan on their terms.
