Well my opinion on this was a gut reaction just because I know what it would do to the left.
However I see Trump’s point. If he’s speaker, then we get over 1 year of media about how Trump is the obstacle to all the great tnings Biden and the dems want to do.
They can just spend all their time on the news saying how Trump is screwing everything up, so the media would have 13 months of campaigning for Joe/against Trump.
So yes, level headedly, I would not be for it either. They cant blame Trump for anything right now.

McCarthy evidently thought his personal road to success was to succeed as a partner of Biden.
People forget Biden is viewed very differently in Congress than by the public.

It’s a tiny R majority. Tee tiny. Gaetz may be right on the principle, but he is wrong on the timing.
Most obviously because, he doesn’t have a plan on what to do next. He threw the grenade, it went off, but now EVERYTHING is on fire. All Gaetz can say for himself is the House is full of terrorists.
Well, maybe some are, but not all of them. He has less than 10 out of over 200 Republicans standing with him, and all 200+ of those Republicans aren’t evil traitors.
He did good on getting concessions when McCarthy became Speaker, but exploding everything after just a few more months, when progress was being made in the right direction, is ridiculous.
And he’s been my favorite until now. This just looks like a major screw up.
If you consider eight Republicans and 208 Democrats voting with Gaetz to evict McCarthy, it wasn’t exactly a Republican majority vote.
