China's economic problems are serious and are compounded by the obdurate and corrupt communist political system. In addition, China has a long history of powerful central governments that eventually stumble and fall out of favor with the populace, which in turn leads to the emergence of antagonistic states and regions.

Even at best, China's debt load, overbuilt property market, weak civic culture, lack of rule of law, graying demographic, and surplus of jobless young men make inevitable a dismal combination of economic and political stagnation and social strain. For the "what about our terrible problems" crowd, the US remains capable of reform and dramatic changes in policy.

Out of a billion people there has to be a few who want to get out of China . I daresay the vast majority prefer to stay in China .
