I’m so scared. We live about 20 feet above a lake. A snow ball melted and that lake now flooded to 2 feet above our home. It’s so hot outside the trees we are sitting in above the water have caught fire. It’s Trump’s fault.

Oh, horse sh**!

I remember when the fall and winter of 1976-1977 beginning Thanksgiving day was so brutal cold it was used as proof the world was entering the COMING ICE AGE!

Still waiting!

MAYBE only as long as *records* have been kept.

But, based on historical record, not.

This has been one of the coolest and wettest summers I can ever remember in the Ozarks. Had to put on the AC in the last week of June instead of late April as in the past.

Entirely predictable by natural processes.

11-12 year solar cycles drive Pacific Ocean circulation. They come in pairs, with even-numbered cycles being equatorial and odd-numbered cycles being polar. El Niños happen near the peaks of odd-numbered cycles.

El Niños happen when the two Pacific oceans stop turning outwardly, and compress to center circulation. The western hot water migrates back to the eastern equatorial Pacific Oceans.

We are nearing the peak of solar cycle 25 where we should see an El Niño. However, solar cycle 24 was so weak that the weakened pacific circulation allowed an El Niño to occur two years early.

The North Pacific circulation (PDO) slings kinks into our northern atmospheric jet stream, and causes North America’s cold fronts and monsoon rains. The current western drought and heat wave is happening because of weakened North Pacific circulation, and ultimately because of weak solar output.

This exact scenario is being repeated with counter-clockwise circulation in the South Pacific Ocean (ENSO) and in South America.

Samantha Burgess, deputy director of the European Union's Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S).

This is not a "scientist." This is an undoubtedly well-paid executive in the Climate Change industry. Every "cause" eventually becomes a business.

Printing this to put with “the Himalayans will be snow free in 2025 article”. I did give the retraction of oops decimal error credit, but it’s still fun to read. The decimal error, we know was made by an expert who would’ve flunked chemistry 999.
My note on the retraction states, either he is incompetent or pushing a narrative for money. My kids will laugh when they find these articles along with the death of all humanity via covid.

There are lots of people running around claiming to be “scientists”.
In reality, the vast majority of such are mere fair-to-middling technicians. At best.
Specious claims by self-aggrandizing ding-bats are fodder for comedy, not policy.

Well, no. Look at the jump. It is far larger than can be explained with CO2-based warming theory. It does fit in with the expectations that this summer and a few after would be exceptionally warm from another cause.
