A few years back the BK near my workplace perma closed due to their inner city stores dragging the others down with them, I think there were 5-6 total.

Ate there every lunch for years. Sure was nice while it lasted.

Similar experience in my early college years. The BK was about 1/2 mile from our apartment so several times a week we would trudge down there and get a Whopper, fries, and a drink for under $2 ... definitely good on the budget. Now the Whopper is lss than 4 inches across and one cannot get out of the place for less than $8.
