Police in the nation's capital responded to the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee as pro-Palestinian demonstrators grew violent as they called for an immediate cease-fire in the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.
U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) said about 150 people were "illegally and violently protesting" near the DNC headquarters building in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington.

USCP confirmed on X that six officers were injured during the clash on Wednesday evening.

The news reports I've seen from other mainstream media mention that the protester were quite under control until the police rushed them. Reminds me of a Vietnam protest I witnessed in Champaign IL back in the 70s. The students were calm. The cops, in riot gear, lined up building-to-building on Greene Street. They started marching toward the cluster of protesters. Then one of them said "Let's get 'em, boys", and the rust was on. Batons flying.
In that case, the cops were not "peaceful".
Is this an episode the rhymes?

Actually, almost are wearing black sweatshirts with white lettering ceasefire now. So is there a local insurrectionist store where would be protesters can get their riot gear OR, do they get them free from organizers and who are the organizers.
